  • Am I missing something? Why does the link say $42?

    • Yeah same for me too.

  • The WAN is good for cable and adsl modems isn't it?

    • I think so. Although who is buying ADSL modem these days? Everyone is buying ADSL routers that have everything built in.

      • heh yeah, I was thinking for a friend who has cable and needs a router.

        • Also it did say 19.95 now then it reverted. I have it on one screen as 19.95. However you can buy it at MSY for $25. Cheaper if you don't pay postage.. but yeah.

  • Sorry guys, the price is updated it was a glitch, for the price to go back to $42

    It is $19.95!!! now =)

    • You should do a free shipping deal.. if not for all of ozbargain.. just for me.

  • Limited market but good price. +ve

  • People that can use these are people who want to route through a server.

ADSL Router ——> Server ——-> Asus Router ———> Computers

And you can have the server do it's thang (limit access / bandwidth restrictions)

So it does kinda make the ports on the ADSL router redundant but without having another device the server config above is not possible.

For $20 for Asus brand it's not bad at all.

    +ve

    • That looks complicated. Do you need your own 42U rack unit at home to host this kind of setup? :)

I used to do something like this at home but it's because I had a DLink DSL-300 ADSL modem so my so-called "server" has to do PPP + firewall + NAT. I now just connect everything to my Billion ADSL router.
