You're buying almost the whole computer at this point. They might as well ship the components thrown together in an ATX case and call it a assemble-it-yourself PC.

    • +1

Don't forget the PSU & Storage.

    • Yeah pretty much. Not something I'd go for, but the saving seems reasonable on current market rates.

    • CPU cooler and those RGB fans?

  • +1

If only they have the intel equivalent.

    I don't mind with 3070.

    NVM. Intel equivalent. https://www.mwave.com.au/product/intel-gamers-bundle-kit-rtx…

  • Would this be a better buy than the $2,400 Alienware deal or Techfast deals?

    • Not sure about TechFast but vs Alienware I thought this one is better in terms of value for money.

    • In my opinion, I would rather the Alienware,

Don't need to put it together and source the remaining components
      warranty easier to claim
      Probably much better support
Easier to install drivers and no compatibility issues
      Good resale value
Micro-ATX vs ATX ( meaning smaller case )

      • additional items on the alienware too
        - 1000w psu - app $100
        - 500GB m2 ssd $100
        - 2TB HDD - $80
        - Case - $80

The only problem with Dell/Alienware is that it going to use the lowest quality parts available. They will work with the advertised speeds, but anything more its just not going to work, also you would be stuck with Dell's/Alienware's bloatware.. also probably a pain in the ass to upgrade later on if you do wish to.

But you do get what you pay for.

          • @djuice: Yea. Not for ppl that are hardcore. My biggest grudge is bios/proprietary plugs.

No joke, right down to a case fan.

            • @[Deactivated]: Oh yeah, I've seen some that comes with proprietary PSUs, its not even in a form factors you can purchase from a retailer, so if your PSU unexpected dies, you just can't go out and purchase another one. You would need to send it back to Dell and get them to fix it.

              • @djuice: Yes.

Waiting for mine to get delivered. Having trouble deciding the exact compatible parts for:
                - CPU AIO cooler/decent air cooler + fan
                - Case fans (most triggers bios boot error)
                - Matching 16GB 3200mhz ddrs xmp

Annoying, spec sheet doesnt give the exact spec.

I don't get it. They say free shipping yet they are charging delivery.

    • Same here. My postcode is eligible also. I tried with different items worth over $100 and it's still charging for shipping.

    • Interesting, the site seems to say it would be, but I didn't try it myself

      • +1

        LOL.

        Here's the catch.

Can't be more than 20kgs and….. guess what. The bundle is 49kgs! Wtf. I just chatted with them.

        49kgs = 2 full luggage (20kgs) plus.

        Really?????

        Chatman:
yes actually it is, the combined Cubic weight of it is 49kgs

        • Yeah sounds like bullshit. I tried ordering a single keyboard worth over $100 and I still got charged for shipping.

        • +1

Wtf? Is it all made of lead?

    • After logging into website, I can get free delivery to Melbourne Metro via Startrack it seems.

      • Ahh.. lucky you. I kid you not. no matter what they charged me delivery

        I feel dirty now.

  • Got excited when I read TUF OC, but then realised that was only a comparison.

TUF OC is definitely the superior model, I can't find many reviews for this Dual OC model but it does seem like the cooling system is lacking. TUF is such a solid card in almost every regard.

The dual OC is slightly smaller if that is of any value to you, but I reckon this is just Mwave trying to move some stock..

    • +1

Yeah I was trying to find something similar on PCPartPicker.

      • Nah it's fair enough, but FWIW a few outlets seem to list this model a few hundred cheaper than the TUF. Certainly seems to be the entry level model.

    • +1

I have an ASUS Dual RTX 2060 OC and it's pretty solid. Max temps I've seen is ~63c but then again, it's only a measly 2060.

[Edit] But I would agree that TUF is probably the best model for 30xx series right now

  • +1

All these bundle deals and not 1 with an ITX Motherboard. Makes me sad.

  • lmao the price of the 3070 is 2k….

    • Maybe they meant eBay scalper's price…

    • I can’t find a 3070 for less than $2k, where do I find one?

      • you can find one in 2020

  • Delete. Replied to the wrong OP

  • Looks like the market is getting flooded with RTX 3070.
