Easily the best bank for simple saving/spending. Their app is miles ahead compared to their competitors in nearly every way.

100%, they just need to start offering credit and I'll be moving all my banking over to them.

Agreed - if they offered mortgages and offset accounts I would be 100% only with UP bank.
Great experience and I've had them for around 18 months as my main savings accounts.

          100% only with UP bank

I dream of the day I can be with only one bank that offers everything I need without trying to rip me off.

@[Deactivated]: just in general, what does Up offer that better than other banks? I have used all 4 big ones and some Neobanks. day-to-day no difference except ANZ is really crapping website and mobile App.

I've been with Up for a few months and it's been a great experience. A couple of things worth noting though:

    • The debit card is cool as hell and is sure to impress party-goers, especially those into a minimalist design.
    • They have an API, if you're a developer.
    • It's a neobank (internet-only bank with no physical branches)
    • Up is a subsidiary of Bendigo and Adelaide Bank, in case anyone is avoiding them
    • They are app-only. They don't have a website to go to if you're used to internet banking in a browser on a PC.
    • They don't have all the features you might need. Make sure you research your needs and see if it's appropriate.

On that last point, Up are pretty transparent with their feature delivery.

    • If they're app only, do you know if they use Google's safetynet?

My phone bootloader is unlocked and Google has flagged it as the the devil

Not sure if I understand fully, sorry, but what I can say is that I had a rooted phone and Google Pay wouldn't work. So I restored my phone to non-rooted and now Google Pay works with Up.

and their spotify playlists are cool too.

  • Pretty sure this is always offered? That Uni virtual bank also does $10 sign up (was on shark tank years ago).

There's no promotion period attached to this code so it's probably a long running deal, however you can signup to Up without a referral code and get no signup bonus.
