  • It's on again!

  • What to buy this round?

    • Same as last time!

    • +2

Coles Myer Gift Cards as always.

  • Looks like I've missed out this time. Can't get all the deals.

    • I missed out last offers; this round only my DJs Amex was eligible (both primary and supp)

  • I wonder why certain stores are excluded?

    • And why they invent stores that don't exist

      • +3

it does, it's run out if Ahmed's garage. He's an Coles Employee & Ozbargainer with 500 Amex cards.

  • Does Coles Myer Gift Cards just hang there like Coles? and do they care if you do seperate transaction?
Never been to First Choice Liquor before…

    • Yes for both

    • +1

and do they care if you do seperate transaction?

so long as it's not busy (e.g. friday evening) you should be fine.

      • I am missing something. Why would you want to do separate transactions?

        • +1

He has multiple Amex/offers I supposed. As long as u only do 2-3 at once, that should be reasonable

  • What do you guys normally do with coles GC?

    • Use them to buy things at Coles and associated stores in the case of Coles Group and Myer gift cards …

    • +1

I usually buy Bunnings GC. So ~15% discount at Bunnings is not bad (when coupled with powerpass)

      • +1

        literally 14.5% only

      • +2

You mean you can use the Coles Myer gift cards to buy Bunnings GC at Coles? I thought they closed that loophole already (using gift card to buy another kind of gift card)?

        • -2

Cashier/attendants will intervene and stop you.

  • Not for me this time around :(

  • No offers for me this time.

  • +3

10% off with code CLICKCOLLECT next 3 days

    • As this is showing separately, will it negate the 20% cashback?

      • +1

No. CLICKCOLLECT is listed on Cashrewards' site. (See my deal.)

  • Oh and 20% cashback is on with cash rewards

    Nice

  • +4

Thank goodness I WAS NOT targeted for this.

    • +1

Lol, me neither. I used the ones in Jan, and Liquorland this month though (which is basically the same thing from the same group).

I am getting problem checking out with my amex card. Gave me "unsuccessful payment" message. Anyone else getting the same issue?

    • Yeah I am getting the same

      • I got the same on my first try. I went right back thru Cashrewards and started again (to be sure) and Amex was successful.

        • Still no luck, I've tried on mobile & pc a couple of times each.

          • @bananapretense: Their call centre is pretty useless. They can't see any problem.

            • @Svky: Its strange, I gave up last night. I got the error again on the shopback 18% just now, but it went through the second time I submitted it.

    • Same issue here

      Tried two computers and mobiles

    • -1

Yeah, I always have this issue when trying to pay with my Amex card. Usually some variation of this error:

"The payment attempt was unsuccessful (ref # 60307293)"

I have tried now close to 10 times with the same message on each attempt. I use the same Amex card for countless other retailers without issue.

Negging the deal for unobtainable for me.

  • Is First Choice Liquor the same was Liquorland?

    • -1

Is Dan Murphy's the same as BWS? 1

      1. Hint: no

    • Same parent company (my Liquorland order was fulfilled by First Choice) but technically no.

    • +2

In term of Amex offer theyโ€™re different stores. Same group. U can get Coles Myer gift card on both, but make sure to get it from the correct store as per Amex offer

      • Actually, in terms of every 1 offer, they're different stores. Sure, behind the scenes they may share some resources, but for all intents and purposes (bar one two ๐Ÿ˜‰) they're different companies.

        1. The only exception, of course, being that you can use a Coles Myer giftcard at both. (Yeah, yeah, and a team member discount card ๐Ÿ˜)

  • Went and bought a coles myer GC but the pending transaction shows as "Liquorland Warehouse" - has this happened to anyone before?

  • -1

Sorry if it's been asked before. Can you get the coles gift cards at first choice online site? Can't seem to find it.
