Any opinion on HP Pavilion DV6-6145TX from Centre Com for $799 compared to this AMD? Looking for a cheapish laptop that's capable of playing some games. Actually, just 1 game. SWTOR.
Impressive specs & price on the 6145TX…, given the choice I would HANDS DOWN get the 6145TX !
Battery life on the 6145TX is AWFUL !, disable the GFX and you'll get 4.5+hrs…

So what?….
That story went nowhere bro…
I found 40 % better than 2 for one considering the hassle to offload the second one
Out of all the ones from the provided link from the op which one is the best bang for you buck
none
Don't personally like AMD processors, so I won't buy any of them.
Did they increase prices by 40% before the sale?
Seems like the price is suspiciously high even though its 40% off. Nicely done gerry.
40% from the retail ticket.
Amd cpus are not very good in comparison too intel
This is a rather sweeping and often incorrect statement.
would this be a good buy? http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/dual-blade-phenom-3500-d…
no u can build one better than that
That's shit build for that price. Though it would save you a lot more money if you already have HDD.
Take your pick.

Thought i posted better deal here? http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/60591
I have a $1200 return voucher to use at HN, could someone reccomend the best value desktop that HN have? I'm happy to put an extra $400-$500 towards it and yes I know that their prices are heavily inflated but that's no concern to me as its a voucher I have to burn!
Cheers
i'll burn the voucher for you
Getting a really good spec Lappy from them would be better idea, as their Desktop range is overpriced and not worth the XTRA $$$…
I know I'm not fully up to date on AMD CPUs/APUs, but the bang-for-buck on these laptops seems to be signifigantly less than most other retailers' regular prices for Intel Sandybridge / discrete graphics laptops these days.
2 Questions/
(1) How often does this laptop sale occur?
(2) Do HN ever have TV specials like these?
Great price for the HP Pavilion DV6-6B01AX averages $1500-$1600+, HN has it for $839.40 ! WoW
