    Any opinion on HP Pavilion DV6-6145TX from Centre Com for $799 compared to this AMD? Looking for a cheapish laptop that's capable of playing some games. Actually, just 1 game. SWTOR.

      Impressive specs & price on the 6145TX…, given the choice I would HANDS DOWN get the 6145TX !

      Battery life on the 6145TX is AWFUL !, disable the GFX and you'll get 4.5+hrs…

  I have a $1200 return voucher to use at HN, could someone reccomend the best value desktop that HN have? I'm happy to put an extra $400-$500 towards it and yes I know that their prices are heavily inflated but that's no concern to me as its a voucher I have to burn!

    Getting a really good spec Lappy from them would be better idea, as their Desktop range is overpriced and not worth the XTRA $$$…

  I know I'm not fully up to date on AMD CPUs/APUs, but the bang-for-buck on these laptops seems to be signifigantly less than most other retailers' regular prices for Intel Sandybridge / discrete graphics laptops these days.
