No you can also get 700mm Cooktop so I assume that 680mm would fit into this category.
I thought it was 800 rather than 900 because the rangehood needs to be 900 when buying an 800 cooktop.
Very little on google, model number gets no hits. And cwongtach is right, 680mm is not standard
not sure if i want a touch controlled stove :/
there are some things which I dont think touch makes better. it adds another possibility of error to something that can result in things set on fireThe cut-out size is the same as a 600mm cooktop. If you want to google it, try Danika DCC460. That's the 600mm model, exact width of the glass top is 590mm. While on this 700mm model, the exact width of the ceramic glass top is 680mm.
My point exactly.
My cat would stand on the controls and set himself on fire. Good price though.
You have a Ferromagnetic metallic Cat?
Is this an induction cook top? If yes, please be aware that you need to use special pots and pans on induction units. Regular ones won't work or aren't suitable (so I've been told).
This isn't an induction, just electric. No way you'll be able to find an induction this cheap.

Yes way. e.g. eBay. Not as good as the expensive induction cooktops, but a lot better than a radiant ceramic like this IMHO.
I thought about getting induction, and found that most of my pots & pans were OK. You just test with a magnet to see if it sticks to the base.
Exactly, how soon they forget: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/34321
I'll stay with Gas, you turn it on - it's on, you turn it off - it's off.
Same with induction. I prefer gas too, but not if it has to be bottled.
RRP?
Also, 680mm isn't standard is it?
600mm and 900mm are the standards I believe?
