@HomeAlone: Actually I checked my email again and I did get that email too. Delayed until 17 August. But if I go to my order link it says cancelled.
Can't wait two more months so I'll get them to cancel it and look elsewhere.
@apiecost: My order link also says cancelled, but I'm thinking that might be because of the gaming headset.
With my past dealings with Dell they have never been able to modify an existing order and have always had to cancel and create a new order number if something needed to be changed/added.

@apiecost: I just received mine. It still hasn't been marked shipped on Dell website. Just randomly showed up without any notice.
@HomeAlone: Even though they have me as cancelled on their own site, the ebay side will be interesting because I'm quite sure they can't cancel something marked as shipped with a tracking number (albeit an invalid number).
Lucky you. They don't even reply me.
@sicaboy: They have been fairly receptive to messages via eBay. Unless you're part of a batch/wave and they're not sure how to deal with the ETA yet?
@apiecost: I actually got one reply from them last week and they said they would get the Dell order number ready early this week. But I got stood up expectedly
I just checked and they have cancelled my order, after waiting since April 26 I think.
OMG I'M SO MAD
I would contact dell sales support (1800 812 393) and request that they supply you with a near equivalent item for the same price that is in stock.
If you plead your case and take the firm but disappointed route (do NOT get angry) then they may reward you by providing the K version with a 3070 for the same price as it's currently in stock. Be nice and hope that you've got some karma waiting to be cashed out.

The cancellation was intentional as the GPU shortage with NVIDIA has not been resolved yet. We will be upgrading the orders affected to our smhdx894005au unit which comes with the 11th Gen Intel® Core™ i7 K-Series Processor, NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX 3070™ and 1TB Solid State Drive + 2TB Hard Drive storage.
Apparently shipped "within the week"
I placed an order last Saturday (29 May) of K version 8940, but haven’t got a Dell Order Number yet which in their description should be available in 3-4 days. No reply from the seller either after multiple contact attempts. I’m wondering how you guys are doing? Could anyone share your timeline?
It was more than a week for me before I got an order number.
It has been 2 weeks almost and I haven’t got the Dell order number from eBay yet

In an eBay message I was told the same things they told you.
"Shipment may be delayed until the 3rd or 4th week of June" and they offered me that free gaming headset, but now over the weekend I received this email.
I ordered on the 27th of April and was expecting to receive it in 4-5 weeks, but the updated ETA in the email now pushes it to 16 weeks total.
