LG 55 Inch 4K Smart OLED TV OLED55CXPTA $2445 + Delivery ($0 for Selected Cities) @ Appliance Central

400

Was looking at buying a 55inch OLED from the JB deal when I came across this. There is free shipping to some metro areas.

This model is due to be replaced by a new model in the upcoming month. From what I've read, it may be difficult to come across stock for the new model and it is not a significant upgrade.

      Never forget ~$1400 OLEDs (B8) ❤️

Got my 55" B8 in 2019 for $1513 after a price error from JB 😊

    • You should check car prices, you would surprised even more.

There's reports on Whirlpool of people paying around 2200 for the CX.

Still better than the 2640 I paid 2 months ago. With a dead 12 year old Sony and footy season starting I didn't have the luxury of waiting though.

    • How is the CX for the footy? I'm assuming AFL?

Do you leave any of the motion settings on?

      • Leage and motorsport actually. All motion settings off.

I think I need to readjust some things because everything looks too dark but generally it's quite good now my eyes have adjusted.

    • Picked up mine today from Harvey Norman. I offered 2200 which they said was under cost, they countered 2300.

  • Yeah at this point I think wouldn't we better off waiting for the 2021 models to come along?

Obviously if someone needs something now this isn't bad though.

    • There isn't much difference in the 2021 models, so people might still just go for the 2020 - plus not sure if they will restock?

    Terrible deal lol…

    This isn't even a deal!

    $1890 or no Deal.

      Good luck with that.

  • Good guys said LG rep told them they get the new models this week

    • Which will push down the price of the CX

      • Definitely going to be some good prices for display models but would you want one?

        • +1

Nope, not unless it was at least half price

          • @Boogerman: Exactly they've been playing the same images for a year non stop on torch mode. Don't even know if I'd get it at all

            • @Whisper Quiet: I ended up getting my CX 77” for much cheaper than what a JB store could do for a store display C9 model

  • Keep an eye on gumtree and Marketplace too for the Panasonic models that have been ceased in Australia.

They are superior to the LG's

  • Not sure the Upgrade to the C1 is worth it, this is a good price but as everyone has said there might be better bargains soon. Only upgrade to a C1 if you are a gamer etc and require newer hdmi /gsync even still not sure if it's fully worth it.

Only reason to buy the next gen LG TV's are for the G1 panels as it uses the new LG oled (gen 2 so they say) panels which are brighter than the C1/CX series.

    • The CX has the same hdmi hdmi 2.1 outputs as the C1 does. The only difference is a better menu that lets u see and turn on all that gaming stuff.
