Trust Fexit Fexofenadine 180mg 100 Tablet Pack (Generic Telfast) $20.99 Delivered @ Pharmacy Savings

Hi Ozbargainers,

This is a straight up reboot of one of our most popular offers from 2020. Trust Fexit 180mg (Generic Telfast) went from being a Pharmacy staple in pre-covid to near extinction. With global demand outstripping manufacturing capability Trust Fexit 180mg has literally been impossible to order in quantity since late 2020.

We've had back orders cancelled, we've had our supply rationed by the manufacturer, we've had other pharmacies complain we're hoarding all the stock, we've got suppliers only giving us single digits of the product per week in drip feed - The dog eat dog world of medicine supply in Australia has really shown its true colours with this product.

I've secured 100 boxes for Ozbargainers tonight and I can run it out at last years pricing thanks to our Rep holding the 2020 price for this order.

Thanks. Developed allergies this year (mid 30s). It's real sad that it's come to taking these tablets.

Old age has caught up to you!

    • Have you recently moved to new suburb? Most of the eastern leafy suburbs in Melbourne trigger allergies to people who never had it in past.

just saying. I am allergic to dust mites :|

  • Is Trust Fexit a more popular brand than Dr Reddy's - Hayfexo?

    • Trust (brand generally) is usually much dearer. Popularity is hard to determine at the moment because so many brands are often out of stock, clients are taking whatever they can get (in the discount range - this distorts which is the most popular).

2015 - looks like FDA banned them from importing drugs into usa until they fix there quality control.

2020 - still banned because they are still failing
"the January inspection was critical of the plant’s investigations of out-of-specification tests. It also said the plant did not even test “for unknown peaks in residual solvents,” in one batch of drugs."

Zyrtec puts me to sleep. Not sure if it's a placebo effect as the box said it's non-drowsy. Colesworth generic anti-histamines are rather weak. Is your Zyrtec generic also going to make me drowsy?

    • It's the same active ingredient so expect the answer to be 'yes' on that. Others here have also mentioned that Ceterizine-based formulations will make them drowsy. Medications can affect different people in different ways, so what it says on the box is not always what will happen to 100% of people who take it.

    • Agree with @Chazzozz

When that happened to me, I switched to an antihistamine with a different active ingredient.

    • Cetirizine (ie Zyrtec) is one of the more sedating non-sedating antihistamine. Even though it says non-sedating on the box, some of it still crosses into your brain and causes drowsiness. Loratadine and fexofenadine are better. In my experience, fexofenadine is the least sedating one out of the three, but I haven’t heard up on the research evidence on that. Just anecdotal.

      • Thanks. Very helpful. Currently fighting an hour of nose blowing every morning, ever since we had a week of rain.

        • I certainly feel your pain. although I must say my hay fever is much better here in Queensland than when I was living in Adelaide.

  • Time has come when my box of Dr Reddy is going quite quickly, do I have to order now to get the listed price or can I when I'm due to run out more?

    • +1

Hi, its really hard to say - the prices keep going up but I keep negotiating them back to my original buy prices by agreeing to take more quantity - not sure how long I can keep that up though (1,000 box orders per SKU is costing me serious $$ to hold prices down)

      • Hey, no worries appreciate the effort you're putting in regardless! I'll just buy a box now so it's not an issue later :)

Last box had a long expiry on it so certainly not going to go to waste!

  • is this better then claritin?

    • +1

      define better.
each drug will most likely work differently on different people.
I prefer Claratyne (Loratadine) to Telfast or Zyrtec.
The others might work better on you.
If you're not sure, you're better of speaking with your doctor (go on, swipe your medicare card), or speak with a pharmacist.

      • i have always used claratyne for my seasonal hay fever in the spring and fall, but i don't think it works on me anymore. do i try something else, do i double the dose? this worked great for me in the past, but this year it is pretty much useless. i can't tell the difference when i use it and don't use it because im still sneezing, runny nose and eyes. im getting low in my supply in loratadine, and looking into purchasing something soon.

        • +1

Regular use of any medication can result in your body building a tolerance to it. Your options then are to either increase the dose or change medications. The latter option is why the OP often has special deals where he offers the three most popular formulations together, so people can change up what they're taking. I am not a health professional but the simplest thing to try is another drug to see if that helps, I personally would not increase dosage unless I knew it was safe. If you're at all in doubt then take the advice that's been offered and seek the opinion of a pharmacist or doctor.

charatyne does not work for me, only fexo

  • thanks ops bought 1 itchy always

  • Are these australian made in our backyard?

    • Howdy - pretty sure there are no manufacturers of Fexo in Australia (sorry there is no country of manufacture listed on the packaging)

Thanks for restocking the bulk pack, ordered

What's the difference between all these anti-histamines?

They all work for sneezing and itching right?

    • Different chemicals. Assuming they work for you, same destination via different road. Unfortunately not every person reacts identically to the active ingredient and that drives the need for different solutions. Choice is a case of how well it works for you and contraindications (side-effects on the information sheet most people simply toss away with the carton). Chat with a pharmacist. They specialise in medicine and spent a lot more time learning about drugs than the majority of doctors.
      Fexo works for me.

thanks for the deal - I just ordered 1 pack of 100 x 180mg Trust with free shipping for $25 - better than the $37 best price we found in Priceline months ago but since out of stock despite asking many times - other fexo best price we saw was about $45 for 100

so this should get us through this season's hayfever allergies - and yes fexo is the only one that stops our sneezing and runny nose

for years I took pseudoephedrine thinking it would stop my runny nose - until a Priceline pharmacist told me that was only for blocked noses and recommended the fexo - alright !

  • Hey guys, anything in the same vein as Naxonex spray? I recall you guys had this in the past?

    • https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/577488 (have just made the code live again for a few purchases if anyone is interested) - shows as expired but should work for next 24 hours.

      • Does code works for value pack as well?

        • Hi - which value pack ?

You've misspelt "cetirizine" as "cetrizine" on your website…

Hi everyone - thanks for your support. I have just packed all orders - there are around 10 clients with incomplete addresses or clients who have selected the envelope freight but provided a parcel locker address (which will bounce the mail) - if you have ordered from this deal and not received a dispatch confirmation email please check your order address and reply to my message asking for an address update. Thanks Jason
