Looking for some suggestions on the best value fan with a high CFM to be used in conjunction with a temperature controller in my caravan to keep electrical equipment cool etc.
I wired up a 12v barrel connection to one of these so that I can power it with an old router powerpack. I was able to 3D print a shroud that allows 100mm ducting to connect to it. I basically turned a 120mm PC case fan into a 100mm inline duct extraction fan.
I'm almost certain it performs better than the 35w 100mm inline fan I had before which broke. A replacement was a bit exxy and I had these spare fans so I'm glad I decided to give it a shot. It's just for a toilet closet (won't come in contact with steam), it works great for clearing out the smell. I don't have a CFM meter to check, but I'm seriously impressed at how well these fans perform considering the wattage and size.
But but they have no RGB bling XD
Just means it's less tacky.
Why China thinks I want a blue LED bright enough to signal to another galaxy on everything is a mystery to me.

i heard these bad boys go noisy at high rpm?? is it stuper noticable? i need to replace the coolmaster ones that came with NR200, noisy assssssssss
They're relatively quiet at full RPM. Any fan will be audible at 1500+ RPM. They have an annoying noise at around 1000 RPM so as long as you avoid that speed they are fantastic. Performance is on par with Noctua at comparative noise levels. I have some and they are whisper quiet at 900 RPM (that's what I set mine at).

both is fine, even CPU fan. They perform very well

for static pressure I think, for high airflow you would go with the f12

@carboncider: P12 actually have more air flow than the F12. They are good all around fans. I wouldn't touch the F12.
@Yuri Lowell: that's because they spin @1800rpm whereas f12 is only 1350rpm, the direction that the p12 flow would create lots of air turbulence in your case as well
@ln28909: Doesn't matter because the P12 is quieter than the F12 at the same RPM while giving identical if not better performance as case fans.

34db vs 42db is a huge difference. That's going from quiet fans to clearly audible fans.

it flows like this -/ which just create dead air zone and turbulence in the case, noise and cfm are not everything
@ln28909: Which is great for case fans. The only reason I'd opt for an F12 is for a rear exhaust. Actual real world tests prove that like the aforementioned video.

@ln28909: Might be your case. If the intakes are pointing towards your CPU and GPU then they should work well. Exhaust is less important as long as it's in a good location (top left or top rear).

Just spent 2 hours configuring pwm curves.
The fans are near silent to about 900rpm, good to 1250rpm (60% pwm), from 1300rpm (~63% pwm) they have a resonant sound that's quite annoying. So yeah, good fans, good value I think but only useful to 1250rpm in my experience.
Got mine yesterday, I really like them. Better than the cheap NZXT/generics that I had. Agree that they can get a little noisy in the higher RPM range, though using all 5 of them with some quiet curves I think gives a good amount of airflow for very little noise. My rig basically barely makes a sound under either heavy CPU or GPU load, it's almost shockingly quiet.
What rpm/pwm did you set them at?
About 1000-1050 idle, boost to 1250 around 70c and some go higher for high temps, though I don't expect my system to ever really go above 70.
@Alzori: Quite a high idle speed.
I find the tricky part is finding a nice pwm curve that works for both CPU and GPU loads. I ended up using pcie16 temp for the case fans and CPU for the AIO. Fans run about 350rpm idle, theoretically shouldn't ever go over 1250 unless my PC is on fire, and haven't seen them go over above 900 on high CPU+GPU loads.
@reactor-au: Yeah true. For me idle == mining, so I'm trying to maximise airflow without bothering me and trying to keep the GPU fans as slow as possible (they run about 750rpm to maintain 60c). I've got a fancy NZXT controller thing (H400i case) so I can adjust fans based on GPU temp, but it seems like it's not necessary to run them faster really.
