Amazing savings in the A72. Just $748 instead of $749. Deal of the months.

    • Galaxy A32 $498 + Galaxy Buds(rrp $319, 50% still good deal) + Cash reward, Pesonally I would buy any quantity if anyone can supply ;)

      • Yes but this looks like an advertisement and not like a deal. You are offering phones for $1 below RRP and your highlight are the free earbuds which many other shops include anyways. Or am i wrong? What exactly is the deal here?

        • you got points, I got impression from 4 other post been posted today, personlly think our price still the lowest even only few $$ consider 2% cash back and Galaxy Buds already better than education deal 20%, feel free to let me know if that no correct.

      • Are you here to sell or buy ?

        • both, I have been here since 2008, I am buy have buy lot stuff, and also sell as merchant ^ -^

      • who is willing to pay $319 for this earbuds?

  • At a minimum i think better to buy via eBay store and Plus with PSSAVER code for extra $50 off before discounted gift cards, etc.

  • to be honest for the price of $748 for A52 5G, why don't ppl just get the Poco F3 instead for a much better SoC and at a lower price. I got mine for $505 for 8GB RAM / 256GB version. I really can't justify this Samsung price.

Even if you buy a 2nd hand old phone for trade up S21 deal recently made more sense than this price.

I do agreed Poco F3 its good value device, not a bad choice. But you have also to put consideration no official warranty, not been fully tested and optimize for Au carriers, you don't get bonus offer and price does not inc GST, what's your thoughts?

      • +1

Nope, price DOES include GST, all Aliexpress sales to Australia got GST added automatically (thanks to Gerry)

What is there to optimize for AU carriers, all the phones that use the same 5G band 78 using the same 5G modem by Qualcomm. Warranty is done by Chinese seller but not really a big deal for ozbargain ppl here especially for that price range. I haven't need to do any warranty for any of my Xiaomi phone… it just never fails for me… yet.

Sorry my bad, I didn't know.

What is there to optimize for AU carriers, it has pretty much the same band using the same 5G modem by Qualcomm.

Most mobile phones working fine without tested by local carriers, some very minor issues user would never notice, but each time when they send phone to carrier testing, they do found lots firmware changes required..

Well, good luck you don't have to worries this!

What minor issues? There's absolutely nothing it needs. As long as it has the right frequencies.

Sure will and save the extra $$$$.

MMS, APN and other network connectivites

              • @AHUANG: What are you on about? It's done automatically or you can add it manually.

              • @AHUANG: MMS, APN… are you joking me? Maybe you should stop making fool of yourself by treating ppl here like idiots with this kind of rubbish comments.

            • @[Deactivated]: Sometimes things like VoLTE or VoWIFI won't work without either carrier support, or some tweaking by the end user.

              • @Cronium: That is true. Most of them (i.e Xiaomi) do.

        • I have to disagree. $500 is a lot of money and you are not even getting the free buds. Personally I would go with this deal, you have a better chance of getting your investment protected if things go wrong.

          • +1

@fozzie: what makes any difference when you send your phone by post to Samsung Australia for warranty or post it to Xiaomi for warranty? It's not like you have no warranty. You DO have warranty with Poco phone.

            • @samehada: Xiaomi phones are extremely serviceable. Once warranty is up. The reparability of Xiaomi phones will be miles cheaper than Samsung's! Parts are abundantly available at reasonable prices.

              • @[Deactivated]: things is it just never breaks…lol… Even my Mi3 is still going strong.

                • @samehada: :). Almost all phones won't break by itself. They're made very well. XDA roms will save your Mi3.

                  • @[Deactivated]: For $505 I got my Poco F3 with SnapDragon 870, 8GB RAM, 256GB with UFS 3.1, 120Hz AMOLED screen, 5G phone compared to what you get with all these Samsung phones.

If I want 4G I can go with Poco X3 Pro for even a lower price and still with higher specs than these Samsung phones.

Samsung A52 5G with slower SoC SD 750G, and way slower UFS 2.1 storage and even dare to put the asking price at $748, it is just ridiculous.

                    • @samehada: HAHA. Samsung's warranty was a joke for me. After repairing the screen, they didn't even bloody glue/seal the screen back on tight. So my Tab S2 has a screen that pops out. I might just sell it soon. Def not my favourite purchase. Far from it! :/

@[Deactivated]: My Samsung S8 was out of warranty by at least a year. Samsung repaired it for free (incl postage). How's that for service.

                • @Popo: that is good to hear, how did you do it?

                • @Popo: That's great that they repaired it for free. Unfortunately mine wasn't done properly :(.

      • I can't really justify getting a 4G phone at this time, now is probably the right time to get 5G phone. This is similar to what happened back then when 4G starting to become popular, then you get a 3G phone and just have to buy a 4G phone again in a year. With the specs of Poco F3 it won't be a problem for at least 3yrs or even more.

        • +1

The sky is not falling down if you buy a 4g phone. Not even if you keep it for 5 years.

          • @justtoreply: yep, only the speed is falling down once 5G is mainstream. 😂

    • +2

Depends how much you value future support ? With the A52, you will get 3 OS upgrades and another 4 years security updates from now.

Not sure what Poco offers in that regard ?

      • +2

My Mi 5 which is released in Feb 2016 is running the latest Lineage OS 18 with Android 11 or MIUI 12 with Android 8.

As long as the phone boot loader can be unlocked and with a hugh developer community for Xiaomi phone, you tell me what update I can get for Poco series especially this is one of the best selling model for the price vs what you get.

        • go for the poco.

It is highly unlikely you will ever need warranty.

not been fully tested and optimize for Au carriers

          that's just some bs..

          you don't get bonus offer

yeh nah, you can buy it separately from the $$$ saved..

          price does not inc GST

          It always does.

          • @[Deactivated]:

            that's just some bs..

What's your problem with my comments?

            • @AHUANG: Bad reasoning/explanation.

              • @[Deactivated]: Really? just something you don't know?

    • "I got mine (Poco F3) for $505 for 8GB RAM / 256GB version."

      Where from?

Used to trust Mobileciti but lately several comments mentioned they sold used phone as "brand new"…
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/611462?page=1#comment-1027…

Still waiting for a update or response from Mobileciti why this was happening and how to avoid this happening again.

      Hi gowest

We definitely have no intention to sent "used phone" to brand new purchase, if any mistakes we definitely accept returns for refund or replacement. As seller has no benefit shipped used products for brand new purchase and pay for the return.

I have advise warehouse manager to ensure they filter out the used products on correct bin location to avoid any mistake during the Pick n pack.

I have PM commenter for more details, haven't received reply from commenter.

PS. We offer 30days return policy, if products not as described, buyer can request return.

OP does not understand what NEVER USED means. Would like to know how they've been never used but have been activated. Not a transparent company.

    • Why you have to dropped word "OPENED", "Open box"
keep telling people it's new, NEVERR USED?
What make you think "Opened Box, As New" = "Brand New or New"?

I am not sure your exact intention are, on Last post we have clearly mentioned on the title [Open Box, As New] is not brand new just comostic look new and no wear and tier, I also send you PM explain the conditions.

      • Condition:Opened – never used.
        On your eBay Listing….
        NEVER USED but activated? What?

        • Activation can be happened during the inspection, if don't accept this you can return.

          • @AHUANG: If they've been activated then it has been used. Your inspectors must be having fun!
Why don't you just update your eBay listing to the correct condition?

            • @[Deactivated]: Hi hex7272

I have told you in PM our condition was follow on ebay's condition data and we will review the listing update, even ask you for the suggestions/

Anyway for the "White Box - As New" listing has been change to "Opened Never User" to "Seller Refur" see example

              • @AHUANG: eBay is eBay. Good to hear. Do what you think is right. As new = Good condition. Never used is a different story. Good job for removing it.

  • @AHUANG Are you guys gnna be stocking mi 11 ultra?
