First post. I own a Led Lenser MH10 which I use for trail running at night. It is an excellent headlamp with a very bright beam. I paid $147 for mine in 2019, which I thought was a a good price at the time. The RRP on the Ledlenser website is $170.

BCF have it on clearance @ $125, so I highly recommend this deal for a good quality rechargeable headlamp

If you have patience to order from overseas, there’s loads of torches that are cheaper and better than LED Lenser in every way.

Here’s a list people on reddit have compiled:

Or go here and sort by your preferred light.

I've been running with an old Skillhunt H03 for the last 3-4 years and it's been great so I can only imagine the newer version with magnetic charging is going to be better.

      • Is there a way to get wider beam (different lens) for Skillhunt?

        • There's a couple of different options, but if you want a degree of flexibility then you want the H04F with the extra lens cover that can flip on/off.

          • @ebosh: That looks ugly and fragile.
I use my headlamp for "close range" work (not running or biking).
I don't need that much throw. My concern - default 36 degree beam angle won't be wide enough.

It looks like there are some 60 degree lenses on Ali for H03 so I hope they will fit H04 as well.

How does this compare to aliexpress headlamps?

the on off switches on the cheap china head torches are always weak, and the lumens are always fake

Are we able to receive 18650 from China these days?

I have a LedLenser H8R, which is pretty much the same as the MH10. It is a good torch, battery is good, light is bright but I miss the focus ring from other models that I have used.

I am pretty sure I paid less than $125 a few years ago for the H8R so I think they should be a lot less on "Clearance". Even with gift cards, it seems like a little too much. I would probably buy a spare if it goes under $100.

Get some good Nitrcore lights for cheaper
My favourite is NU25, it’s feather light, but not as bright.

Ok deal for the brand, but in my opinion, like others on here, more bang for buck elsewhere, plus 600 lumens is only just ok for trail running on easy trails, if you like to motor flat out on more technical trails like I do, you need 1000 genuine lumens minimum if you want to stay upright and safe!

ps whatever you buy, don't get those "core" light branded ones at BCF, very bight for the $ but have had multiple fail with switches being of poor quality. They have a design flaw that first press goes to max power, rather than staging up, so switch gets high current drain every use and won't last more than a few weeks of use.

  • So this light is promising (and most likely delivering) 600lm for 10hrs.
While any other 18650 light is able to output 600lm for 3-4hrs.
    Did I get it right?
