  • Valid for which periods or is this anytime (i.e inc. peak school holidays?)

    • +5

      LOL!

      one of the conditions:
Vouchers are valid for a maximum of 2 Adults ( must be a couple*) and 2 of their Children (under 12 years at time of travel)
*Definition of a couple- Couples, heterosexual or homosexual, married or at least living together for more than 2 years. Couples not living together, or living together with a different partner when at home, will be considered a non-qualified couple

So, am i interviewed before i can go? Are you going to DNA test my kids as well?

      • +3

aaah - here is the hard sell: "Attendance at a 90 minute no-obligation holiday ownership presentation is mandatory as part of this deal – so out of 7 Nights and 8 Days, you only give up 90 minutes to learn more about the resort!"

        • always the timeshare hard sell

  • Awesome deal!

Is this too good to be true?

    Are these guys legitimate?

    • pls check our website. We have been operating for almost 12 months now without issue: http://www.ikoala.com.au/deals/ikoala.php

    • we have run a deal with these guys to Bali last year, and all feedback has been positive

      • +1

Any links to see the feedback?

        • +1

Aren't Miss A, Miss Mel and Mr Willman trustworthy enough?
          :p

  • Attendance at a 90 minute no-obligation holiday ownership presentation is mandatory as part of this deal – so out of 7 Nights and 8 Days, you only give up 90 minutes to learn more about the resort!

EWWW No way. That's where you'll be bullied into getting paying WAY too much for something you don't need.

  • Tough luck also if your partner is under 30!

  • Pretty lame that its 30-60 year olds. Very age discriminatory assuming younger people have no money.

    • … or would cause mayhem etc.

      • Given that:

"Attendance at a 90 minute no-obligation holiday ownership presentation is mandatory as part of this deal – so out of 7 Nights and 8 Days, you only give up 90 minutes to learn more about the resort!"

It's more likely that they think 30-60 year olds are more likely to make an investment rather than 12-30 and 60-120 year olds will cause mayhem.

  • "between 30-60 years of age"
So couple of 28 and 35 years old doesn't qualify?

    • Nope, One of the Q&A says if I am 30 and GF is 25, can I still use the voucher? Answer is Heeeeckk noooo!!

    • +3

As mentioned no, you'll have to find an older lady :)

  • +2

"Attendance at a 90 minute no-obligation holiday ownership presentation is mandatory as part of this deal – so out of 7 Nights and 8 Days, you only give up 90 minutes to learn more about the resort!" - fine, for the price we piad. just 1 hr browsing on ipad.

"Adults (Married/De Facto or Single) between 30-60 years of age. Children must be 12 years of age or younger at time of travel date. Children over 12 will incur a $315 Euro Fee payable at time of booking." - wtf is this, so if I'm 30 and my wife is 29, so no go?

nothing about the resort mentioned. is there free breakkie(i dont expect huge bill would show up just for my breakkie), availability of wifi etc etc

nice price, crap description, b***shit terms. is this your marketing strategy?

    • +1

I am also going to neg this for the terms & conditions & no full description of what exactly is available (as skywise has mentioned above). Besides, there are some under 30's that earn a fair amount these days!

  • +2

Was good till I saw the under 30 condition. With that and the 90 minute sales pitch its just spam

  • +1

"Booking requests may only be accepted a minimum of 28 days in advance."

and "There is a one off booking fee from AUD$0-99 for any destinations per voucher at the time of booking.Depends on yout voucher type and destination. e.g Red voucher for Bali has $0 fee."

"Three separate dates & 2 separate countries should preferrably be submitted in order for your application to be valid. "
wtf is this, if i just wana go phuket and i still need to lodge the application for Pattaya on different dates?

Rep, is there any other hidden fees? could you please include all the fees in title, or there is no booking fee for this one?

BTW, i was asked what is my combined income of your household when chatting with their agent online.

they said" The merchant has saisd that if you don't meet the age requirement but make more than 80k you will probably be allowed to go."

FFS,HOW IS IT RELATED TO MY PURCHASE OF $199 COUPON? AM I THEN REQUIRED TO SHOW MY MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE.

    F**K it

  • In the FAQ's:
"Q. Other than the booking and servicing fee, are there any other charges?
    A. You may find that a refundable deposit may be required by some resorts to secure a booking. Some resorts will also charge a reasonable utility fee or supplement to cover electricity, gas. Full details will be made known to you at the time of booking. "

As per skywise - we really should know about ALL other fees so we are aware of the total cost.

  • I know people who've traveled the world on these cheap deals…. they used to run lots from/in Europe. They are generally very good value, the resorts are usually very well maintained, etc etc (bear in mind they want to sell timeshare in these resorts, so they don't send you to a crap hole that you're not likely to want to invest in).

The eligibility criteria is a little restricting…. it is after all a campaign, aimed at a target group…. just because you are not in that target group does not mean it should be negged, as others may be in that group.

If you feel you may weaken and be enticed into spending lots of money on timeshare…. I wouldn't go….. the salespeople are very good at their jobs. Otherwise….. aside from an hour or two of saying "no, can't afford it", they can be very good holidays.

The reason they are non-specific about a resort is that it's not restricted to one resort…. As I said…. they are trying to sell you something… they are unlikely to send you to a dump.

  • +1

well, the basic details should be included and there is no need to ask what is the combined income, questions like this are really far beyond the normal practice even just for marketing analysis purpose.

    • +1

      it's not for analysis….. this is a targeted campaign….

      • i mean "targeted campaign" :)

        • -1

they have to know income in order to target….. they are unlikely to sell timeshare to joe blow earning $200 a week….. they don't want to waste money on holidays for people who are not likely to buy from them.

  • What would you really expect for $199? Maybe the description is rather vague and there might be some hidden fees which we're all keen to know about but hey, even without brekkie, it is a steal. Even the kids club is worth more than that… (says a guy in his mid thirties, with his 30+ wife and two kids <12 yrs…)

    • i agree with you this is a excellent offer, but still basic elements needs to be there.

      • Yes, they would make their offer a lot more credible (and probably get a lot more interest) if they were open about extra fees.

    • -4

thanks how bout a positive. It is a bargain

  • Doing a google search on this company & come across this article:
    http://issuu.com/mintree/docs/flybuy_intro
Not quite sure the purpose of the article (and it doesn't really seem to come to any conclusion), but it has some interesting info.

  • +1

We often receive these 'offers' at work. The reason the company is offering this cheap deal is to get you (and your family) on its mailing list for investment proposals. This fact is not mentioned in the listing or explained in any detail on the webpage. Therefore it deserves to be deleted.

    • +1

Agreed. And i find it sad that ikoalaeveryday has sunk this low.

    • The reason the company is offering this cheap deal is to get you (and your family) on its mailing list for investment proposals.

No…. it's to try and sell you timeshare whilst you are there…. I'm sure they will use your details as most companies do, but the main reason is timeshare…. either a physical property, or as points systems or exchangeable 'weeks'.

Dear Everyone. This is a very CHEAP offer. For the sake of 90 minutes of your time (no obligation) you get 7 days for 4 people holiday. Think about it please. Otherwise please go and pay much, much more for your holiday, and get an extra 90 minutes of time for yourself. Please do the maths, and how about some positive feedback. After all this is a BARGAIN, but may not be everyone cup of tea. Irrespective, we are selling more and more of them, so you will be holiday with likeminded holiday makers seeking a BARGAIN. Thanks and have a great day.

    • +1

Okay, here's the positive: it's cheap.

The negative is the stuff you tried to hide.

  • Any reason this is has now expired? Maybe the rep didn't like all the questions (most of which they didn't answer).
It actually seems like a good deal (provided you can handle the high pressure sales pitch & they actually have availability when you try to book).

    • this was an error it is back on

      • Great! Did you have some response for the various other questions:
        - What other fees are involved?
        - Valid for which periods or is this anytime (i.e inc. peak school holidays?)
        - Any links to see the feedback for your previous similar deals?

People are always sceptical of "too good to be true offers" (especially 98% off!). You will probably get some positive feedback if you can give us some more info.

  • -3

please for all questions, please conatct our live chat……

    • +3

Why don't you answer them here?
So far, there's a number outstanding:
Links to feedback, other fees and charges, couple of others…

  • A lot of these campaigns give you free accommodation!
