Repeat of this deal and may be targeted - although I have this on both my primary cards and all supps.

Does not look like it stacks with other cashback offers.

  • Will be interesting to see whether needing to book via Expedia.com.au/Amex offers rather than the main Expedia website leads to price jacking.

    • 100% it will

    • I feel bloated too when they jack prices up. Username checks out.

    Better to use instant discounts.
Cash rewards have 10% code CRW10 (stacking doesn't work, I've tried)
    Westpac has WESTH10

      Reward Gateway has EXPSAVE10 listed.
Amex link doesn't seem to let you apply vouchers/coupon codes

Lots of better options for 10% and above are available….including via latitude (10%) and regular 14.5% shopback cashback offers (plus 2% westpac)

Off-topic - For a new Amex CC, how long does it take to see the offers? I have been told to wait for a few weeks by support, but keen to know how much it actually takes.

    • I remember I saw offers in my explorer before my first statement (and hence before paying the annual fee) and was surprised

      • So under 4 weeks, i assume

  • last time i tried booking through this offer, expedia website didn't accept amex. Tried reaching out to amex customer service and they were clueless. ended up booking through cashrewards.

I made a mistake when this offered last round to assume like the usual, as long as you use the Amex card which has this offer accepted you would get the cash back… I was so wrong… it can only be booked via the link offered by Amex to Expedia so you won't be able to double dip….so you need to calculate at the time of your booking which is the best option…

  • also you have to use the "Pay now" option - got screwed by this even though i paid immediately
