Just wondering. How does warranty work for these drives?
I paid a premium for a 14TB one but its an ASEN Australian version.
@pegasusx
For me anyway, just make sure that you register for warranty a.s.a.p. after delivery. Very useful if purchasing devices produced for the North American market which only come supplied with the US/CA ac plug/cable/adapter. WD will supply an AU kit straight away subject to device being registered. AU, UK @ EU models (usually) come supplied with multi-region ac plugs/adapters.
I had a WD Elements fail under warranty about 10 years back and WD replaced without fuss. I have yet to have had another HDD failure, but have continued to purchase many WD devices as I have always found their support excellent.
I see. I got mine 14TB at 469… thinking about returning it and getting a US version for cheaper
shuckable?
