Clicked on my fb account and the voucher is exactly the same!! Yay thanks OP! +1

    • yeah, they don't appear unique at all. What's stopping us from redeeming one a day till the end of the promotion?

      • +1

nothing, really. but if you redeem one at the same station each day, they can point to the "1 voucher per Facebook account" clause and refuse.

  • +1

omg! the free cornetto ice cream offer just finished yesterday, my waistline was already growing and now this…

  • +4

Thanks, I still have some free ice cream coupon and now free Sausage Roll :) (ice cream already finished yesterday)

Last time I complained a store refused the ice cream coupon and they send me $25 star card to thank me to let them know.

    • Those ice cream coupons have expired (ended on the 10th), but they were great. The first place we tried though refused to honour the free ice cream (the cashier thought it should have a from/to/subject header, but didn't believe me when I mentioned it was probably an email printout he had seen before). Will alert HQ next time this happens, thanks!

      • when i encountered someone who wasn't sure about it, i'd mention that it was from their facebook page. this time, the coupons i printed out have the https://labs.starmart.com.au URL on the footer to remove any doubt they're "fake"

Thanks mate, i wasnt trying to say google isnt useful or that i cant… i was simply on this page and i thought i'd ask, and someone might have just given me a quick answer "the caltex store".

but obviously i was wrong to do so.

        • Agreed. I cant access alot me websites easily if at all from my phone so its not always because people are too lazy to google. If your too lazy to answer then you really dont need to be offensive your only contributing to the negativity.

      • But after the coupon had the store locations website, right?

        • -5

did it? i didnt look coz i didnt know what this store is and if there were any around. but i've learnt a lesson and hopefully wont repeat next time. =)

1 Per Person minus fuel & car maintenance costs = Deal Breaker for me! But i'm a hardcore bargain hunter :P

  • my meals are all set! <3

  • Sounds good to me :D

  • +1

Very confused but just to confirm is star mart caltex or caltex/woolworths or both? Thanks

  • -5

WTF is wrong with you people?!, why do you want to punish a company that believes so strongly in its product, that all they have to do is get you to try it and you'll be their new customer!

That's a rare and beautiful thing, but you're doing you're doing your best to make sure it never happens again?

way to kill a good idea by being dicks.

I'd like to thank Caltex Star Mart and Mrs Mac's for offering me a free Mrs Mac's giant 175g sausage roll.

PS. can we fix the heading to read Mrs Mac's giant 175g sausage roll?

    • +6

I see "0" negs and "50" + …. so who is bashing this deal?

    • um, we're punishing??

      • +2

I'm not bashing the deal!, I'd like to see many more like it.
but Caltex Star Mart and Mrs Mac's are doing this to get new customers and facebook "likes"

If you used this coupon 10 time yourself, then email it to 50 friends, do you think companys are going to use this style of marketing again?

think of it as a flower, you pluck a rose, not dig the bush out of the ground and steal it.

        • Facebook likes is a terrible form of marketing, not everyone is on facebook and why should they be treated differently just because they do not want to sell their information on the internet. everyone is a customer. most people with this voucher will stock up on fuel at the same time so not like they would be losing much, mrs macs might even reimburse them.

        • … so instead of 1 person being exposed to their product they have 50 exposed?

By not being posted on OzBargain they would have had a less people exposed as well.

They are after brand awareness. I think they'll be happy that this has turned viral and thousands are familiarising themselves with their product, wouldn't you?

  • +3

man its not like u gotta make an extra trip to go get it, put the voucher in ur car, and when u drive past it, put ur blinker on, pull in grab one and go, 2 minutes out of ur day with no extra fuel. dunno why everyones complaining about having to go get it!

    • +1

Ah hell, they can pay postage and I'll post them a stale sausage roll!

  • +7

Just picked up 2 with a mate, delicious. (Had to purchase an obligatory Farmers Union iced Coffee to wash it down)

  • I wonder the barcode had been used when they scan the print out?

    • +1

      ?

same barcode as the icecream one. it will/should scan on their system as "facebook activation $0.01"

  • +2

I can't believe that I didn't know about the ice cream deal until now :( Time to print off a few copies. Reminds me of the coles express pies deal.

  • +1

I went a few hours ago and the guy didn't know anything about it. He rang someone and in the end he gave me 2. Now I feel bad as I accepted it. I am going to go again tomorrow and pay him for the extra one. Damn you conscience!

    • An honest OzBargainer, good example sir :)

    • +1

Just take another printed voucher in tomorrow and give him that. Same thing really ;)

      • +1

Love Ozbargain and these free deals! Scored big time with the 7-11 Coke Zero deal last year, I drive past 4 7-11 stores to/from work so on a good day, I could score 16 free cokes (2 at each store). Ended up with about 200 bottles, and have used all the Coke Unleashed codes to get $500 worth of Ticketek vouchers and the HTC Sensation XL phone. Gotta be happy with that. Ozbargain is more than a website, it's a lifestyle ;)

    • +2

that is great, wish I had time to do that sort of thing. Need to find a car bargain first

    • wow 200 bottles of coke LOL!! I can't even imagine drinking all that but cudos to u haha

  • +1

    Got mine yesterday, thanks! :)

Now the question is can I get another one today ;)

  • Anyone got an issue with redeeming more than one sausage rolls?

  • The gladesville guys was very generous, since all the sausage rolls were out, he gave me the giant traveller's pie instead (worth 25c more). The meat pie is long-rectangular in shape.

  • i want ice cream :(

  • well, went into Caltex Main St in Osborne Park this morning to get my sausage roll. the guy there said they were a "star shop" not "star mart" so he couldn't give one to me. i told him that his was on the participating store list and i had redeemed the sausage roll there a month ago. furthermore, you could see posters "star mart" offer behind him. he served some other customers before changing his mind and telling me to write my phone number on the back of the voucher.

    yeesh.

    • star shop/mart are the same thing. there are 2 caltex servo in my suburb one is woolworths and the other just caltex. both are on the particpating list, can redeem at both the stores.

      • exactly, they're the same thing!

for others, it's probably best to bring out a printout of participating stores lol

        • "telling me to write my phone number on the back of the voucher."

Maybe he wanted your number for a other reason? Lol.

        • @Macgyver lol…i can't seem to figure out what other reason(s) there could be :p

        • You know what reasons heheh.

    • tried my luck at the same caltex and they refused to accept it claiming that they would be out of pocket as caltex aren't paying them for it.

was also refused by caltex starmart (scarborough beach road) and caltex woolworths (scarborough beach rood).

doesnt seem like caltex is very genuine with their promotions.

      • that's rather rude. did you have the list with you to show them?

that's rather odd as i've been to both caltex starmarts in doubleview and scarborough and both attendants there have cheerfully given me a sausage roll :\
if you are referring caltex woolworths near hutton st, it isn't a participating store.

i'd probably post on Caltex's Facebook wall; some people have had trouble redeeming before and their facebook team usually get into contact with them to sort it out.

        • yes i did; but the manager didnt want to see it. insisting that they would be out of pocket (starmart).

maybe i got a newbie? shrugs. might just log into facebook and get in contact with them.

  • anyone know if you can get these and put it in the freezer at home even though its already cooked?

    • the wrapper on mine says: "once thawed, do not refreeze" but i dunno…worth a shot sacrificing one in the name of science? ;)

    • you can ask for frozen ones

  • This is now expired, is there another Star Mart deal forthe next month?

    • free milk? free drinks? or ice cream again :D
