$2 Bonus Cashback with $5 Min Spend (App Required, ShopBack Superstore Excluded) @ ShopBack

1890

Looks like this one popped up in the app a couple of hours ago. You have until 31 March 11:59pm AEDT to complete the challenge. Time to get out that list of low value items.

An OzBargain exclusive challenge and limited to 3,000 slots. (Thanks @highwind) I found it on the home screen of the app but also located in the 'Earn More' section -> 'Perks' tab.

Enrol in the OzBargain Perks programme to qualify for this offer

  1. Install the ShopBack app if you haven’t already.
  2. Click here from your mobile device. (Try also this alternative link.)
  3. Enrol in the OzB Perks programme.
  4. Scroll down and 'Start' the $2 challenge.
  5. Make your purchase as usual.

See also the previous post about the Ozbargain Perks programme.

I have messaged @gotyourback to confirm whether this stacks with eBay offer (min $20 spend required). Confirmed these two bonus cashback deals will stack - thanks for the suggestion @dealbot

Note: The '$ to go' amount that appears when you start the challenge is the pre GST amount.

• This challenge entitles you to $2 bonus cashback when you spend $5 or more in a single transaction (inclusive of GST, exclusive of delivery & all other fees) through ShopBack between 30th March 2021 6.00pm AEDT and 31st March 11.59pm AEDT.
• Purchases from ShopBack Super Store (ShopBack Voucher) and stores offering no cashback are excluded from this challenge.
• Only purchases made after you 'Start' this challenge will qualify for the bonus cashback.
• Limited to one bonus per customer.
• The $2 bonus cashback is in addition to the regular cashback you'll receive shopping at your desired store.

• Cashback will be voided if any fraudulent activities are detected or if any terms and conditions are not met.
• ShopBack reserves the right to amend or withdraw the terms and conditions, and terminate the offer at any time without prior notice.

Maybe stacks with the ebay $2 bonus?

    • +1

Only if one spends $20+ on eBay.

    • Even though the T&Cs does not explicitly say no, clarification would be great from SB rep

      • +2

Typically the challenges have stacked in the past, but definitely no guarantees unless rep says so.

    • +1

This was my first thought too - $4 for $20 on ebay is quite good (shame you can't stack it with the $10 off $30 spend on ebay atm due to code use)

    • +1

Can confirm it does, made a $25 eBay purchase last night, tracked and completed both challenges earlier today.

Limited to 3,000 spots to make sure you click 'start' to reserve a slot

I think this is an OzB exclusive, so for those not already joined, go here to add it to your app:

      This is it.

Didn't show for me until I followed your directions.

      Thanks highwind.

    • I clicked on the link, then the button to activate, then got an alert that I had met the challenge requirements. I did buy something earlier today…

Does anyone know if it'll still come through?

  • Had just made a purchase in morning FFS gotta spend more Money now

  • +2

targeted? I can't see it in my APP

  • +1

Well, I've officially run out of low value crap to buy.

Any suggestions on what everyone else is getting for $5 that isn't USBs cables, screen protectors or batteries and that is actually useful and won't contribute to landfill?

  • Includes GST excludes delivery cost

    Fine but
what is all other fees ???

    • no fee

  • +1

    Gift cards are excluded right?

    • +2

Depends, i think anything that gives cashback normally counts towards this challenge, so e.g. auspost giftcards i think may count because it not part of superstore

      • thats right

  • Just checking that purchases made on eBay with gift card are still eligible right?

    • -1

If I'm not wrong purchases made with eBay gift card are eligible — yes but you still need to spend $5 at least with credit (card/afterpay/PayPal or without gift card)

And use of any discount voucher /coupon means no cashback, so e.g. you buying $20 item on eBay the max you can pay with gift card is $15, you'll need to pay $5 with your card /PayPal/afterpay for this challenge

      • +2

I've always paid the total amount with eBay gift cards and I've got the bonus every time (provided no discount voucher/coupons are used).

        • Legit, I don't know why I have always thought of those offers to be ineligible with no credit spent.
          Thanks for new information

        • DJSmelly, You’re correct.

  • Has this disappeared today?
It was on my phone yesterday and I clicked it, but today seems gone.

check under perks in the earn more section. I had wondered about that too, but it shows separately to the other offers as you are now a member of ozbargain perks for shopback

      • Ah, yeah, I had to refresh that screen a few times before it showed up in a different format.

  • Do you know if you can use the everyday rewards booster also at bws ?

    • don't see why not? It is something on your ER, rather than a code, so it should be ok. Just boost at least 2 hours before use. Go through Shopback to shop after that.

      • Hi mate, think it's all good, luckily busy as I didn't know about the 2h rule. Probably was. Furphy slab $7 off on sale, -$2 shopback and $10 ER works out to $35 :)

        • Nothing in my Woolworths rewards track points history yet, will have to lodge a claim. Wouldn't accept BWS as a store name so may have to try an alternative method of claiming

  • I got a $10 ebay gift card from their latest comp to join ebay plus (that doubled up with the get a $50 voucher if you sign up….so I am actually ahead). Can I use that and still get cashback and the bonus? I assume I can as it is meant to be a gift card, not a discount code?

    • When you go to checkout you should check if it actually redeems as a 'Gift card' or 'Voucher/coupon'

  • +1

From my experience open ShopBack app click shop now click through eBay Au app

Using gift card payment method you will get 1-2% cashback tracked depending on category then you will receive additional bonus cashback tracked separately

Using coupon/voucher method you will get 0% cashback tracked no matter how much you spend
whatever additional bonus cashback you will get rejected

On payment method will show how to pay by gift card or coupon/voucher. So they know how to indicate cashback from this payment.

My information would be help for someone who confuse about this 2 things because l learned from my mistake too.

    • Qantas shopping may approve purchases using coupon, but not 100% for me now. Got one declined using AP code last week, one still pending.

    • when I look at the invoice it shows as gift card, so hopefully it tracks and I can get that plus the $2 bonus for the spend

  • Can anyone confirm if chemist warehouse eligible?

    • Can confirm it works with chemist warehouse.

  • This offer is not on "Earn More" anymore.

    • It is under perks

      • Nothing there.

  • Do I have to purchase via Shopback apps or can use computer browser? There is nothing saying has to use Shopback apps.

    • Once activated in the app, can use browser to order

  • Has this been confirmed for anyone yet? It was showing in Perks as ‘finalising results’ and now there’s nothing :(

    • Completed, pending for me.
