$500.01 off down from $1499.97
Yes it's the Exynos version as it's the Australian XSA model so not as good as the Snapdragon version.
Essentially same as this recent deal

is Exynos really that much worse than Snapdragon?
Do you value warranty on a $1k device?
surely it's not that bad, otherwise they wouldn't sell it?
You can't buy local SD models.
Hence the warranty comment.
If you want Australian warranty, you buy Exynos.
I've had Exynos Note 8, S10 5G and S20U 512gb and a SD Fold 2.
All phones were fantastic. No difference for daily use.
@scuderiarmani: thanks for clarifying that and I am totally aware you can't buy SD models in Australia.
I am just trying to understand whether Exynos is really that bad as compared to SD. Currently using an Oppo Reno Z and looking to upgrade.
@dealsforlife: More just saying the warranty is far more important factor to most then the tiny improvements.
So if you think a little less heat, a little extra battery life, a little extra fps is worth forgoing a warranty…. Well. Your choice.
For me it's a terrible trade off.
@scuderiarmani: That many mobiles over just 3 years? Your TCO must be massive per year unless you can sell them for enough dollars when you are done with each one.
SD gives more flexibility for ROMs down the track, I believe; that helps with holding a device longer once it fails to get security and other updates. Of course if it is the "wrong" model, then it might not get as much love in the aftermarket ROM arena.
Galaxy Note 8 — Sep. 2017
Galaxy S10 5G — Apr. 2019
Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G — Mar. 2020
And this one, Samsung Galaxy Note 20 256GB Mystic Grey 5G — Aug. 2020… is this for you too? That's only about 5 months after the S20U 5G.
On this deal though, it seems that Samsung is having trouble with selling enough volume, hence the discounting everywhere, often times for specific colors. I think there will be many more deals to come. This particular phone may have less love than other options as it is a "cheaper" version, made cheaper by design choices, but I'm not sure. I thought I saw a video review of this phone that gave pause for thought, but I can't find it now.
Edit: found the link … Samsung Galaxy Nope 20!
@affinity: Wife has my S10 5G and my Sister has the S20U.
Had the Note 8 till I purchased those and before that the Note 4.
Both of them needed upgrades and were happy to take mine.
The average user wouldn't notice the difference. If your gaming, there might be a small difference.
If you care about pay to win mobile gaming, the iPhones will kill just about all the Android phones interms of performance. The only exceptions are probably the few Android phones that are made specifically for mobile gaming. Since they run at increased clock speed and have special cooling so performance is around a generation faster than any other flagship Android phones. Apple A chips plus the fact that developers only have to develop for a few different types of phones, and the fact that most their revenue comes from iPhones users means majority of these pay to win games will provide a better user experience on that platform over Android.
This online ONLY or also in store?
The email says online only, but judging by some comments it may have been in store as well?
Unlike the S20 phones, Only the note 20 ultra has the SD slot to expand storage size….
I dunno what why anyone would buy this phone even at 1k it's a rip off. Consider s20 FE or the S21 series.. There is some good deals going on atm.
In store they were also offering $100 costco gift cards on certain Samsung phone models (generally less popular colours).
