@hamza23: Seems to be more of a hack than a deal, the offer on the homepage, Telstra app, cart and popup box on the product page states "When you add to a mobile plan. Credit applied by 2nd bill. Hurry offer ends 29 March."
So get it quick before Telstra fixes it :)

@hamza23: those are Google Pixel deals, not even remotely similar. The fact it says "Hurry offer ends 29 March." would seem to indicate the offer ends within 7 days.
Also the T&C's state "When you add to a mobile plan." which seems to indicate that Telstra only wanted this discount applied to mobile plans and not outright. So if you're looking for an outright iPhone with a discount, jump on this before Telstra fixes their mistake :)
@soundboy5010: not a hack if you pay out right no need to wait till bill come, discount should be immediate (as your payments already include the 2 bill .. third. 4th all 12 bill)
@huu: I think you are deliberately overlooking the T&C's of this deal.
Yes it works on outright iPhones, but according to the T&C's it should not, hence it's a bit of a hack/blunder from Telstra that you should take advantage of before they fix it.

Don't think it matters when you get reimbursed as long as the invoice is dated before end of FBT year and you submit your claim before then too.

After missing out on the $300 off when my Afterpay had errors, I decided to give this a go. Went through to checkout with no plan selected, and the phone shows up in my Telstra account as a hardware purchase with the $100 discount, paid outright.
If it was for me, I'd be holding out for a larger discount but this one's for my wife and she's lost patience waiting for the price to match my OzB expectations!
I got to the payment page but want to price match with OW. Anyone pulled the trigger via Telstra without a plan?
It doesn't say anywhere that you "must" have a phone plan to purchase as far as i can see.
I wondered about trying the price match but was too lazy. I did pull the trigger at Telstra, and went through to purchase with no plan. There hasn't been any follow-up cancellations from Telstra (yet!). Hopefully they don't 'volunteer' me onto a plan - that's my main concern for now.
Tried a price beat at OW, got told one punter got it through with price beat but they closed the loophole because you "must have an account with Telstra to get the deal"….
Sounds like hokey pokey excuse so may be up to the store manager i suspect.
Ended up going direct through Telstra site, submitted with outright buy and got the $100 off.
I already have a plan with Telstra so fingers crossed.

Tried two Sydney OfficeWorks stores to price match the deal. Both managers declined saying could not go through as it was Telstra deal and rejected by head office. Love to know if it's the store managers finial call or not.
Can confirm I was able to price match iPhone 12 Pro 128GB at JB Hi-Fi.
Some stores might reject it using different excuses, so it depends on the store sales/manager I guess.
