These are good cameras! Picked one up when it was $79.95. Very happy with it.

Better to buy a HDMI dongle to connect your SLR to your laptop and use that as the video camera.

    • +5

How much are the HDMI dongle and SLR camera?

      • -3

        HDMI dongle $10.

SLR camera, don't buy - reuse an existing one you have.

The image quality will be way better than any web cam

Ordered a dongle to try with my A7. Also ordered the Logitech 930e from work. Had enough of cheap webcams that seem to die after a couple of weeks

Don't own a SLR, so how much?

          • @edfoo: I got my Sony A7 hooked up and the image quality is amazing. Low light performance is awesome even from my kit lens. My camera is quite a few years old and has some autofocus issues but with manual focus it's good.

Probably around $1700 worth of equipment

Bought this webcam. Good image quality considering the price.

  • Bought this in the last deal. Plug and play easy peasy
Works well with Teams on work laptop
    Picture quality good

    $10 discount…doesn’t seem like a great deal

    • It's a good deal when compared to $180 Logitech

I was interested in this unit til I searched on youtube for some reviews/comparisions. This is a quick comparison with the Logitech C920

    https://youtu.be/BkbovsIixz0?t=59

    Logitech's is $100 more.

I didn't think there'd be a huge difference between webcams but there is. Of course whether the difference is worth the price gougey price logitech are still asking is a matter for you.

That's a different creative cam. Note the video is from 2015. This creative only came out in 2020.

Thanks I was aware of the date, but under the impression they hadn't updated the cam, like logitech.

But managed to find a more recent comparision, presumably with the updated cam. Much less difference this time!
