I am not sure why people buy these water filters when our drinking water is fine as it is. (I live in Melbourne).
Are you saying all the other states have inferior drinking water?
Like SA?
Because over time, some pipes contain trace elements of rust or other mineral deposits, and replacing the pipes might not be economical as a whole (i.e. in a block of units), hence the water filter. :)
Taste water which has been filtered vs non filtered, you will notice the difference. I noticed some whitish material (salts?) in water at times so ended up getting one just in case.. Now I notice a clear difference between water from the tap vs filtered. I also live in Melbourne and the house is about 3 years old now.
It turns water into… water. Bargain!
When you filter out all the "stuff" from water, it becomes a totally tasteless liquid. I definitely prefer water that has NOT been filtered - but I live in Sydney where the water tastes fine.
I highly doubt that this thing would make Adelaide water taste good enough to drink.
That's the smallest pic upload known to mankind.
