  • The good news is that we’ve got until 14 March to make a purchase. Might help in managing those “impulse buys”.

  • Could someone please confirm / deny whether cashback will work with the $50 voucher from this deal?
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/605726/

    • I'd assume no. Gift cards are treated differently than vouchers / codes.

  • +1

Can I use gift cards as payment and still rewarding the cashback?

    • +3

      Yes

  • “ Available to selected users only.”?

    • Do you mean "targeted" users?

      • Nah says "selected" in the T&Cs

  • This offer isn’t appearing in any of my accounts.

Just say 2% Cash back when i click to see eBay offers on their app & website.

    Am i missing something?

    • Targeted

    • you'll need to use the app to activate it

  • Not working for me. I can save the offer but it won't take me to the eBay site.

Clicking shop now takes me to their gift card page and it goes into an infinite loop.

  • Does this work when using eBay plus monthly $5 voucher?

    • +1

      No

  • But will it track?

Does the purchase have to be made through the app or only activated?

    • Hopefully it tracks.. Not sure how long ebay usually takes to track with shopback.

  • +1

My offer was spend $50 get $10.

  • Is buying a gift card eligible?
I got the $50 gift card already, but the progress doesn't change in app.

    • Read the 'DON'Ts' once you click the link

  • I want to buy a sun shade but it's listed under vehicle parts, car and truck parts. I'm not sure if it's excluded as part of cars and bike exclusions. Anyone bought items in this category?

    • Cashback Not Eligible for Gift card purchases, Charity and non-profit items, eBay Plus membership, Cars, Bikes, Boats , Coins, Real Estate, Services, Tickets, Travel

There exists an ebay category called "Cars, Bikes, Boats".

      Cashback Rates
      Automotive & Musical Instruments 1.00%

"Vehicle Parts & Accessories" category should fall under "Automotive"… I hope so, just bought some wipers.

  • If I have existing gift card balance on my EBay account, can I use that and still get this $5 bonus?

    • Yes from the description
Good deal to stack with discounted eBay gift cards.

      • Didn't work for me. ShopBack only picked up the amount I paid using my PayPal….not the amount I paid using EBay gift card.

        • Is it a discount voucher or definitely gift card?

          • @Paul B: Definitely gift card…$50 Swap Celebration Gift Card which I used to buy something few weeks back. Had around $20 left from that gift card and paid $35.75 from PayPal. I got cashback for $35.75 but challenge says there's still XX more to go. I made sure not to use any promo codes as that might have caused issues.

            • @ganjadeals:

              I got cashback for $35.75

Could be a glitch with PayPal processing eBay managed payments.

In the checkout did it say 'You'll finish checkout on PayPal'?

any promo codes as that might have caused issues.

If a promo or voucher code is used, it will track as 'calculating' with 0 cashback.

              • +1

@wekimekigugudan: Can't recall what it actually said at checkout but it was definitely the same thing I see every time i checkout on EBay. I've managed to score the bonus cash backs in the past but never tried with gift card. Will log a case with SB and see what they say.

  • too bad can't get cash back with promo codes which are everywhere at the moment

    • I think people were going for EBay promo codes over cash back so ShopBack came up with this.

Pretty grateful for the cashbacks but some of there challengers and discounts are ridic

eBay gift card 8% off for $20 swap eBay card… So tiring redeeming one by one. Nobody got time for that

Challenges for eBay purchases when eBay are pumping promo codes voids cashback if used

Grr. Made an eBay AU purchase of $58.95 from an Australian seller. This consisted of $50 for the item and $8.95 for postage.

ShopBack tracked and says $0.11 to go. Meaning they don’t recognise I spent $50…
    Aaaah FFS.
I can try logging a ticket tomorrow on my computer but I bet they will respond after this closes and I miss out of the $5
Should’ve just used the freaking eBay app promo code instead.
