UPDATE: System had technical issue, apologies for the wait. New code. 200 added. Get in quick

The previous deal was extremely well received and many people missed out. However, it is now restocked at the lowest price ever.

I purchased one late last year and have been using it ever since. Extremely nice quality product (aluminium build and magnetic design). It projects light uniformly in the space in front of you and prevents eye strain / shadow when writing / reading. Has a wireless remote for adjusting brightness / temperature / on / off, for added convenience (extremely useful). Highly recommend it. Definitely one of the best products I've ever bought and used.

The lamp itself gets bright as well. See it in action - few nice pics from Aliexpress reviews. Absolutely no glare when using it with single / dual monitors.

Limited stock. Shipped from their CN warehouse. Banggood shipping times are often pretty good (1-2 weeks) and much better than Aliexpress.

Price is the cheapest ever! For reference, Australian retailers are selling this for $99.

Features:

Easy installation: Just hanging it on your monitor, saving space on your desk.
Asymmetric forward projection design: Avoid screen reflection, even focusing on the screen for a long period of time, you don't need to worry about the glare and dazzle. It effectively reduces eye fatigue.
Adjustable brightness and color temperature: you could brightness and color temperature by pressing and spinning the remote control.
Ra90 Color Rendering Index: High Color Rendering Index, the presentation of colors is more real, more vivid, and has better recognition.
USB Type-C connector: The lamp can be powered by a monitor, computer, USB adapter and power bank.

Package List:

1* Lamp
1* Base
1* Remote control
2* AAA battery (Not Included)
1* Manual
1* USB Type-C cable (the end that plugs into the light is USB C, other end is USB A)

AUD price based on current MasterCard conversion rate. Title price includes GST and shipping.

Thanks Skido! You are a champ!

For those that haven't done this yet, go to the VIP section and activate the $2 discount coupon for a little extra off. https://au.banggood.com/index.php?com=account&t=vipClub

Ah damn, I jumped too soon and missed this!

    • nice, but no dice for me. Gotta be VIP 3 on their rewards ranking level

    • This activity is for new users only

      • It actually gave me 200 points for being a new user = a $2 coupon

    • Can't join VIP unless you order at least once

      • Worked for me as a new user

        • Couldn't work out where that was

  • I got US $44.56 ?

      untick shipping insurance.

      • ouch forgot about this, perhaps too excited!
thats alrite $2 for peace of mind

      • Why do people always say that? Id rather have the insurance. Banggood isn't flash to deal with.

        • +1

          OP wasn't encouraging that.

The question is why the price was higher than what OP posted and the answer is to untick shipping insurance to get it lower… Nothing wrong with that.

          • @davidl820: I'm not talking about the op. In general people always say to untick it. I don't get it.

        • actually, insurance is nice to have but not everyone may need it. If you pay by PayPal, you are protected anyway

see here for a little blurb about shipping insurance

      • Also wondering why. Would paypal be able to chase up for you?

        • Of course. If it’s undelivered then you can file a claim and Paypal would refund you.

    • +2

      Remove shipping insurance

    • Thanks guys

    Cheers mate, legend! :)

$60 for a strip of LED and a holder? Hmm…

    • +4

its essentially a desk lamp.. really worth it imo (I paid more than this)

      • Same paid more than this

    • +3

The Benq version of this is like $200.

This has a nice design, remote, adjustable color temp etc..A bargain imo

      • The BenQ one is nicer (except the wired remote) but not worth almost 4 x the price of this discounted Xiaomi IMO.

  • Ordered!
They charge me 36¢ shipping however.

  • +1

    woho…
Amount Paid: AU$56.71 with CC in AUD

because the 28degree card not arrived yet…..

    • Same. Did you get charged 36 cents for shipping too?

      • DESCRIPTION UNIT PRICE QTY AMOUNT

        Subtotal $56.35 AUD
        Shipping and handling $0.36 AUD
        Total $56.71 AUD

Collect credit card rewards? You'll earn applicable points with this transaction.
This transaction will appear on your bill as "PAYPAL *BANGGOOD"

not complaining but if paying in USD and 28degree i think it will become AUD52-54

    • What’s the benefit of 28 degrees card?

      • Can transact in foreign currency without a bank conversion fee. Handy.

This card is the best card out there, but only if you're grandfathered into the price protection insurance.

        • -1

I cancelled mine due to some changes they made on payments. No need for it

          • @neonlight: Since 2020, I've received $2.5k in refunds from price drops. I couldn't be happier. I only spend on this card when it's an item I think will need price protection.

I used a bank CC for about 8 years and got maybe 4-5 $100 gift cards with it total. And I made all transactions on that card including groceries and bills, not just select tech items. The points price on those gift cards keeps going up too. Useless.

Decided to go with the non-RGB version because:

    • Can't be bothered waiting for the next deal
    • My Setup currently can easily support an extra USB powered device, can't really be bothered extra power requirements
    • Lack of branding looks good, should fit the 34" Xiaomi perfectly given it is the same branding.
    • There's a RGB version?

      • Yeelight

        • is that a bulb, or a desk lamp (long strip) like this one?

  • Surprised the last thing couple things I bought from Aliexpress arrived in a week and a half, half as long as the last thing I got from Amazon US.

Anyway, this is cheaper than any of the ones on Aliexpress last time I checked so win regardless.

    • How much were they? What was the shipping method?

      • +2

Oooof just noticed how terribly worded my comment was.

The things I bought? one was ~$20 and the other was ~$25. Standard Aliexpress Shipping according to the tracking. Ordered the same day as my ~$60 order from Amazon US. The Amazon order just sat there doing nothing for a week.

If you're asking about the cheapest lamp, that's $61 shipped if i remember correctly. Had the page up and was just looking at it yesterday too.

        • Oh DW, I was just wanting to know how long orders from AE have been taking recently. Sounds fast.

  • +2

Thanks mate. Exactly $56.38 on my UP card. Not sure why I bought, but I’m sure I’ll use it….

    • I'm sure you'll love it. makes a huge difference

  • How's this work with a webcam? Not at all?

  • Got it.
    Charged $56.4 with ING.

  • ok skido let us know how many of this got sold…. i hope the bg rep will be happy

  • I am a iMac User. has anyone already using this for any purpose? is this any good?

    • not iMac but someone even managed to use it on their 16 inch MacBook (would not recommend using on laptop tho) lol

and it seems like it works well (I believe MacBook and iMac screens are really similar)

    • +1

I have iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015) and it plays well, except microphone, which is located on the top edge. If you want to have it functional, you may need to place the lamp ~4 cm off centre.

  • +3

Almost willing to buy due to the OzBuzz currently!

  • Thanks mate, charged A$112.05 for 2 in my 28 Degrees

    • hmm surprised i was thinking could be cheaper than that if paying with 28deg? anyway..

  • I bought this from a prior deal and very happy with this.
Any good deals for a Xiaomi Desk Lamp PRO?

    • do you mount this on your monitor? Mine has no bezel, so it's a soft AG coating (not glass). Will this damage or leave marks on my plastic AG coating?

  • Need a deal on the Yeelight version

    • OP said he’s organising one and hopefully will be ready next week.

  • +1

Thanks OP - been waiting since the previous deal! Now to work out how to mount this with my new webcam :)

  • +6

I thought these were a bit of a gimmick, but given the eye strain of working nightshift in constant unnatural light sources, I grabbed one in the last deal and can genuinely say that it has made a big difference to my eye comfort - less irritation and much more comfortable after work/offline. It lights up the desk surround nicely and there is absolutely no monitor glare on the Xiaomi curved monitor. I would recommend this, especially if you are working a lot in the evenings or with limited natural light. Thanks

  • +1

Thanks OP. Was always interested in one of these.

  • Jbhifi has a similar model, it's $30 on commercial, I'll never have a desk without one now, handy as hell and looks sleek. This one doesn't actually look as good either

    • Link please

      • +6

might be referring to the baseus model which is $49 + shipping

        but xiaomi is superior.

        Key differences:

        • xiaomi has a whole wheel of colour temperatures compared to baseus 3 level colour temperature
        • xiaomi has wireless remote control (super handy and convenient as you dont need to reach out and pushing the buttons on the light might cause it to fall off)
        • xiaomi has ra 90 colouring index vs 80 on the baseus
        • xiaomi has magnetic design and more premium feel than the baseus
        • I second this. I'm going to buy another one.

        • The RA90 vs RA80 makes a huge difference IMHO.

        • +1

This is handy to know thanks, might look into getting a Xiaomi one now, I like that magnetic mechanism

        • do you need the Mi Home app to access this? Because I've had nothing but problems with the Mi Home app. It only connects if I tether my mobile connection. It can't connect to any of my routers.

I had no idea Baseus has a presence here.

          • @lostn: no need Mi Home app, just plug and play

    • Yes I would love a link as well. Cannot seem to locate it

      • +1

I'm not too sure as I don't have access to their commercial website but I think he's referring to this one?

  • +1

i got one in use for couple of months, highly recommended

  • Naww no longer shipped from the AU warehouse. :(

    • it'll get to you in 1-2 weeks. my order despatched last week on 03/03 arrived in Sydney today :D

  • +4

    Ordered one. Don’t know why.

    • same here

      • thinking about it myself.

My desk and house are well lit due to LED bulbs and 36W fluoro lights.

  • +2

Literally just received mine today and just opened it up 5 mins ago and put it on, the wireless remote is a great touch. The clip for the stand feel also very quality and metal.

Only complaint is the shroud at the far corners is the same circular depth therefore you get two white light spots on either end of the lamp which could have been easily shrouded by not having the plastic asymmetrical - only an issue if you have the light angles towards you

  • Have been thinking on getting one for a while, good to see this in a good price so pulled the trigger…

  • It's quite annoying that on mobile it will always open with App which charges GST 😤

Ordered one anyways… Thanks for organising this OP 👍

    • No such issue. Uninstall the app.

      • Found the problem. In account settings set the site to AU site and sorted :)

  • just wondering if i can use this to light my face on webcam as well?

    • Nope, it’s designed to be angled just for the area in front of you. But it certainly does help brighten your face for zoom calls etc

  • Finally Got one. Don't forget to use your Credit Card currency convert don't get ripped off by Paypal

    • How much did you pay

      • I think Paypal only 0.74 per AUD you need check your credit card company. My transaction has not come thru yet

  • My wife has the xiaomi monitor with the widow behind it. She needs the blinds down during the day to use the monitor because of the glare. Would this fix this issue if she was to have the blinds up?

    Thanks!

    • -5

Why on earth would you think it would?

      • +3

Control of light to the monitor? I dunno. That's why I asked.

    • I have blinds closed in my bedroom but that's more because I have no light anyway due to a carport and double story neighbor.

I just have the lights on during the day when I work from there.

  • Bought, not sure why. Hope this is better than my last purchase for a TT desk lamp from https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/573267.
That light globe area was very irritating for my eyes if it was in my peripherals so now it's being used as a paper weight

    • +1

You should have bought the cheaper TT-DL-13 or the more expensive TT-DL-16 instead, both allow you to twist the light to 90° to face side ways to reduce glare.

      • They do look bettter! Oh well, happens to me on ozbargain at times. Hopefully this monitor lamp makes up for it
