  • Really good price

  • One of the best AIO out there

  • More like one of the better newer AIOs … well it's more or less the best along with the Artic Liquid Freezer II

… which is admirable for being cheaper all the time and having no RGB.

    • You can get the blacked out EK AIO Basic now for cheaper than the equivalent Arctic Liquid Freezer II.

  • Cheers grabbed the 240 as dont think 360 will fit in my meshify c.

    • It should fit in the full size Meshify C, depending on what your GPU length is, and whether you have the HDD cage installed.
My 360mm Deepcool Castle V2 aio fits… just. The PSU cables are rather snug between the psu and the drive cage though lol.

      • RTX 3080 EVGA ftw3 , already not much room between the GPU and case fans at the front .

240 fits at the top no problem so easy decision even if if the cooling isn't as good as 360

        • Yep, definitely a top mount 240mm then.
Will just have to check ram clearances, but you should hopefully be good.

This or arctic liquid freezer 240 for $170?

EK-AIO D-RGB 360 is also at mwave for $229 + shipping or free pickup if youre nearby

if you dont care for rgb the non rgb version is $169
    https://www.mwave.com.au/product/ekwb-ekaio-basic-allinone-3…

they also have the EK-AIO D-RGB 280 version for $199
    https://www.mwave.com.au/product/ekwb-ekaio-drgb-allinone-28…

might be more convenient for those who prefer to use zip pay

  • I've already spent so much money on my current build I've become numb. If the EK-240 is "one of the best 240's you can get" then is the EK-280 one of the best 280's you can get as well?

  • Any thoughts on this vs the similarly-priced Noctua NH-D15s (air cooler)? Looking for performance and quality mainly.

    • The Noctua will heat sink will last forever and they are pretty good about releasing brackets for new CPU Sockets. Eventually the fans will die but you can just buy new ones.

      • Oh I see. How's the long-term quality of the AIO? And also is there much difference in terms of performance between the two coolers?

        • Dunno, I'm rolling the dice on the 280 version of the AIO in this deal. I have a DH-15 myself, same as the one you mentioned but with a second fan. I believe it's considered "the best of the best" for air coolers.

          https://linustechtips.com/topic/1186116-nh-d15-versus-240mm-…

        • The EK has better performance

          • @[Deactivated]: How about maintenance cost long term?

            • +1

@axieax: Neither costs anything to maintain per say but over a long time time the air cooler is cheaper

Fans on both will eventually die, noctua's will probably last longer, can be easily replaced.

AIO's have a limited lifespan, eventually they get air leaks or something idk. Plus the pump is a second point of failure. I think you'd expect them to last 7-8 years idk.

A air cooler heatsink will last forever so long as it's clean.

Noctua also gives you free mounts for all future sockets, and even if you don't get them for free they're really easy and cheap to find in any computer store. I wouldn't count on being able to use the AIO for future sockets easily if AMD changes their mounting system

    • It depends on your case's airflow. With a cramped ITX, you'd want AIO. But with a tower with good airflow, the NH-D15 would be better long term (IMO), if it fits the case/mobo.
Also the Noctua will be quieter.

      • Thanks!

I have this aio and it’s brilliant. Cpu never above 50’C even under heavy load. Fans are quiet and the rgb adds lots of extra frames.

    • which case?

    • what cpu and OC/UC?

      • +1

3600 with oc to 4.2ghz all cores stable.

        • wow, is the 3600 worth OCing tho?

          • +1

@abuch47: Honestly, no idea. I mostly play rocket league and BFV and both are buttery smooth with my 2080 super. I just overclocked because I could. I don't bother with benchmarks because well… I don't really care

  • One of these for a 5600x vs. the stock cooler??

    • +1

Anything will be better than the stock cooler… they ship “free” with your cpu for a reason…
