I just bought a XPS 17 ($1100 with i7 2670, 17" FHD AG screen, 8GB ram, DVD, 3GB GT 555M, 2 x 750GB HDD) - been waiting for new XPS 17 laptops from the Dell outlet for months…
There are quite a few XPS 17/XPS 15z left…be quick! :)

They are with slightly different config hence price. But I noticed the price/spec is not always correlated (eg. sometimes a laptop with only 1 HDD is more expensive than one with 2 HDD while all other specs are the same). Looks like Dell is manually assigning prices to them. You just need to pick out the bargains (like I did LOL).

    It was probably the last one so why post it.

    You can't get moneyback either as you can only buy over the phone.

      no it wasnt the last one, after I bought mine there were still 6-7 XPS 17 left (with various configs). And as I said before the one I bought has already been removed from the list so it's not there any more, I checked the list around lunch today and there was only 3 XPS 17 left!!

    hahaha that's because I already bought it, and they removed it from the list. They go very quickly as most ppl on OZB can tell ya :)

    it would've had something like this under the "Base" column "XPS 15z Laptop…etc".
    BTW I've just checked - it's gone…

        doesnt sound too shabby, except the screen res (a bit low by today's standard - you should look for a screen with at least 1600x900 aka HD+ screens).
