For a newb, what's the benefits of having a Plex Pass?
I've currently got a free account but not sure of the benefits.
Biggest benefit for me is being able to apply age-based content control for my kids…
We also use the Plex app from approx. 8 different apple accounts (last I checked it was a one-off $8 or $9 per apple account if you individually authorised them). Plex pass allows for unlimited playback access on mobile devices (no individual authorisation needed).
Also allows you to download shows to the local device (mobile plex app).
Streaming and local download can be done via VLC player app but the interface was too hard for my younger kids.
You can play direct to Sonos, which they won't let you do with the free tier. Which is nice, but also it annoyed me enough that they randomly paywalled that one feature that I'm refusing to subscribe.

Wouldn't it be easier to just have a permanent sticky at the top of ozbargain saying "check your emails for targeted promotions"?
Plex send these out very often to random people using a secret formula nobody really understands. Most people won't receive this promotion.
