    $1200 for a phone plan seems expensive…

    • Thankfully it’s $1068 for 12 months.

        • Errr lol it's minus 10 a month in credit hommie

          I thinks a ok deal

89 plan for 150gb per month and comes with XR 128gb Which is usually 699 upfront right?

Not bad but I don't like Apple so meh 😎

        • $10 monthly cerdit

        • Per T&C
Eligible customers will receive the bonus $10 Monthly Credit applied by Telstra direct to your
bill. Reducing the $99 plan to $89 plan per month over 12 months with a minimum cost of
          $1068. (“Credit”).

        • It’s $89/mth over the period, plus you get a 128GB XR that’s currently $779 at JB.

Not sure it’s my maths at fault.

  • Tempted to upgrade my iPhone X

probably not worth it - compare

      • That’s is such a poor comparison - it doesn’t even acknowledge things like A11 vs A12 or battery life.

I wouldn’t consider an XR an upgrade from the X. Screen isn’t as good, body is bulkier and you lose one of the cameras.

      • Agree unless your X has eg a cracked screen or poor battery health, it’s definitely a bit of a downgrade style-wise. You do get a more recent chip and dual sim/esim, which does count as an upgrade. I also think the battery in the XR is significantly better.

    Any android phones available?

    • Check anon post thread

Hey just remember XS and XR phones make you look just a liiitle bit fat. They zoomed the selfie lens up for that, so make sure ur not ugly! It’s a subtle issue but I will be happy with a good upgrade.

  • Its not [email protected]

    1068-777 =291 ..
291 over 12 months comes to 24.xx per month..

    • Updated, some reason I divided by 24m 🤦‍♂️

  • Perfect plan for the wife. She has an iPhone 8 which is having a few problems and doesn't wanna switch to Android.

    • I went from an iPhone 8 to XR myself, about two years ago. The only issue I’ve had periodically is that the charging port doesn’t work sometimes but that’s it. I’ll take it into Apple when I get a chance. It’s a good phone. Camera is decent, and the screen is very nice (I think).

Maybe SE 2nd gen suits her. Same size and design. XR has bigger screen and better battery life but bulkier and using older chipset.

      • Couldn't get past the poor battery life of the SE 2. Actually just might be due to the fact I use my phone way too much these days so a bigger phone/battery is a must.

The XR price is a good price as is the battery life but it is a 3yo model now so I would aim for 11/12.

        • I know, but it all depends on the budget.

        • If the XR is 3yo, then the iPhone 12 is 1yo. I would think it’s fairer to say it’s 2 gen behind the current model.

  • Anyone have issues today signing up?

We signed up and for the new SIM card, but there were issues with the Telstra system, so we couldn't take the phone home today. Apparently it's an ongoing issue at TGG?
