Bought one recently from somewhere else. Great quality and no issues at all

+1 on that, been using mine since the Kmart $450 deal a few months back. Awesome monitor for the price. No dead pixels, just great.

  • I think can get it cheaper with eBay afterpay code with some seller.

Code still works and haven’t expired, cheaper by about $50.

    Great monitor.
Shame Kmart no longer sell it.

  • Paid $299 for mine.

    Sorry, couldn't help but gloat.

He got the price… so lo

      • Probs the Kmart clearance?

    • And 2nd hand doesn't count 😁

  • +1

A few discounts last year that able to bring this monitor price down below $500
if not hurry worth to wait for mid-year / financial year sales
pretty sure this will be back to those prices

  • I've read some comments about comparing this to an older gen 100hz X34.

Can anyone care to elaborate, if they have experience with both?

    Thanks

    Three questions
1- isn’t it the same monitor that was available from Kmart for $450?
2- isn’t this deal from dell better? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/605585
3 - how would you rate this monitor for work computer (WFH) excel, email, web browsing, word, word, split screen

    • +1

You would have been very lucky to get it at that price from Kmart, none near me had stock

Very different from the dell- this is higher refresh, one is IPS, one is wider aspect etc

      • -3

Thanks could you please explain but more in detail about the differences and which one would be better suited to an office user
        Thanks again

Dell is lower refresh rate. For office use that's fine.
          Both are VA panels.
          Xiaomi is wider.
          Dell is higher resolution.
For office work if you run Dell at 4K then you can fit more on the screen but all of it will be smaller.
If you run Dell at QHD then you can fit more on the screen with Xiaomi because of extra width.
If you run Dell at 4K but scale to 150% then more fits on the screen of Xiaomi BUT your items may be clearer on Dell. I find 4K scaled at 150% clearer then QHD on a 4K monitor.
I think there is more media for Dell aspect ratio, but that doesn't matter for office work.
I would recommend Dell for office work and casual games. It's cheaper and I think 4K scaled up looks better.

          • @g1: Thanks mate, if the price for both monitors in question are same $450 - would you still recommend Dell?
Assuming I can still the Xiaomi for $450

            • +1

@cisco: If probably still get Xiaomi for the higher refresh rate.

            • +2

@cisco: If the price is the same? For office use? I'd get the Dell. To watch videos I would still say Dell because it is a more common size ratio. If you play FPS games or games where speed matters like racing sim then Xiaomi.

            • +2

@cisco: i find my xiaomi really useful for office work. two windows side by side works very well. Also great for spreadsheets with a lot of columns.

Love mine, no issues at all, 144hz is a game changer coming from 60hz, I couldn’t believe the difference

  • How good is Xiaomi warranty? Do you return it to them or to the seller?

    • +1

To the seller that is why people prefer Amazon

    • I spoke to Amazon support before buying it. They mentioned that I can deal with them on the 2 year warranty.

  • how important is Gsync with an NVIDIA graphics card? is it still ok to get a freesynch monitor?

  • Just bought one! Looked at reviews and thought screw it with Amazon warranty, lets give it a go.

  • Bought one for my home office set-up. Will also hook it up with my Xbox Series S (1440p with 120 fps).

How is it compare to this? I'm looking at WQHD though not urgent

    • +1

Refresh rate is the biggest diff. The Acer has 60 Hz while this is 144Hz

  • Hey quick question what's the difference / which one is better for gaming this xiaomi or

    https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/dell-s3220dgf-32-qhd-curv…

  • Thankyou, I just bought the Xiaomi so will stick with that but could get the Dell for $515, hard decisions

    • Ultra wide vs non Ultra wide

  • When I go to the Amazon link - it says the store is AZ eShop, not PC Byte as per description. Do you know if it's the same stock/store? The Amazon price went back up to $599, but on the PC Byte website it's still $549.

    • Its no longer there. Offer is expired.

  • When I ordered it came from AZ eShop. - all I know sorry.

    • How much did you pay? I think the offer is expired.

      • Sorry totally didn't see this, I paid $549.

  • Posted above by @Nick7… Kogan has it for $539 delivered.

Curious…is there why people opted for Amazon instead of Kogan?

    • +1

I prefer Amazon for it's free change of mind returns awesome support and warranty claims.

    • More of a general statement from someone who buys a lot from Amazon, and less elsewhere: I'm going to be much more careful with buying from Kogan cos I don't like waiting weeks for things and when I bought a Redmi 9 on the 17th it said "leaves warehouse in 1-2 days" but didn't specify anywhere that the warehouse was in Hong Kong. I feel Amazon is much more upfront about when your item will arrive, not just when it will be processed.
