ive been looking for a good deal for solar in nsw. so many companies, offering so many solar brands and models, how does one decide who to go with? im sure reviews can be faked. i think a 10kw system suits me most, ive seen $4k to $8k prices. (no battery obviously) im sure installation quality is the defining factor plus the kw per panel (more KW less panels) and invertor brands.

    • Delta has just released a 10kW Single Phase Inverter with 4 MPPT. Sub $2000 wholesale, so that might be good for you.

Many manufacturers are offering 10 year Inverter warranty now.

      • you mean buy separately? i was looking to get the best deal as a package. or do you not recommend that

    • Note that if you are planning on exporting their is a limit on the system size per phase. So a battery option would be good. About to power wall 2 for about 10k through AGL btw

      • The more FIT gets cut or limited export, the more batteries will make sense. Consider also the Alpha ESS Smile 5 with LFP battery when considering the Tesla Powerwall 2

        • I think you replied to the wrong person

          • @DoesntEvenMatter: Not that it matters, without a huge rebate batteries don't make economic sense, and they don't make environmental sense either way.

            • @mickeyjuiceman: Yes they do. Why pay for power or sell it at a much lower FIT rate when you could store and use your self generated power. At 10k it's pretty decent, I'll be having 2 units installed in the new build. Payback is a decade but it's what it is

      • its 10k aud to get power wall 2 installed? you sure?

Jinko got done for polluting rivers in China, yeah?

This seems about ball park pricing at the moment, I had a 6kw growatt inverter and 7.9kw of EGing panels installed last year for $2499 in Brisbane

    • How's it performing? I just don't understand the huge price differences in it all between a $3000 system like this and a $6000 system from solarhart.

      • Can't fault it to be honest. Had an issue after install where the export limit wasn't set correctly on the inverter, but after that got sorted it was fine. I don't really get the price difference either, obviously part of it is non china gear being more expensive to manufacture I guess.

    • Whom did you go through?

      • That was through Sunshine State Solar

    • Who did you go with?

    • Prices are based on the Panels quality (Tiers) as well as inverter. Also the STC rebate discount was more last year.  Our Installation team has 10 years of experience solely on Solar system, the workmanship is a guarantee.

EGing is entry-level tier 1 panel which uses standard Backsheet, Jinko is a premium panel which uses Dupont Backsheet which have longer durability.
Jinko cheetah 330w also has IEC 62716 Ammonia resistance, IEC 61701 Salt mist resistance, IEC 62804 PID resistance.

  • so hard to trust these hundreds of solar companies with weird 3 word names, just imagine how many of them there are if they have to resort to 3 letters to name their business, most of them have been started in the past 2-3 years when u look up the abn and they are posing as a company with over 10 years experience on the sites all with fake bought reviews too. i wish there was a trusting site to find like the top 10 ranked in each city so we can choose

    • solarquotes.com.au

      • nah that site it asks you to input all your info, and if you dont put a real number they dont call you, what they offer is 3 quotes only from your area only, not city wide, so say you live in chatswood, they would get 3 solar business from that area, which is lame, what if someone offers a better deal say from penrith, they would not recommend them because its 1hr drive away from you even though its still sydney..

  • The content has been pasted from Reliance Solar Ad. You seem to be a fly by night company . Since when are you operating
