I wouldn't touch Kogan for electronics, they are the worst with after sales support. Catch has the same unit for $299 without the hurdles of Kogan and Lattitude pay.

    • It's offical AU Stock, you will deal with ASUS for warranty. I purchased an RT-AC68U from sydneytec on Ebay and all warranty claim gone through ASUS directly. ASUS then sent a request to sydneytec to supply me with a replacement (brand new router) after it's deemed unrepairable. Considering the router was almost out of warranty (20 months old at that point), it was fairly good experience.

Now this is Kogan but again it's AU Stock, you will deal with ASUS directly.

      • In Australia, you don't need to go to the manufacturer for support, though you can. The seller is responsible for the warranty.

  • Wondering if you can post all Kogan prices with the $20 off instead of me going to the Kogan website.!!! Btw - it was a bit over $270 a couple of months ago

  • Note it took me about 6 months and many emails to get paid out on the previous ASUS router promo.

  • This is a much better unit for bot much more money.

It's UK import stuff not AU stock. Most of AU stock will be dearer than import for obvious reasons.

Each to their own, I would rather have the superior product.

Thanks for the link, Just pulled the trigger on the AX82U

          • @worthy1: No problem 👍

            • @AEKaBeer: Any idea whats the main difference between the 2?

              • @Talla: Newer, more powerful chipset mainly. The ax 3000 has lower bandwidth on both ac and ax (wifi 6) modes.

                • @AEKaBeer: Sweet! What about customer support from Asus? Is it going to be an issue thats its going to be an import?

                  • @Talla: Not sure about that I'm afraid. I've used Asus support for local stuff and it was excellent. I would assume if you had any issues you could just return it to Amazon.

    • Looks like the AX82U isn't eligible for the cash back promo though by itself - that would have made it an awesome deal

  • I don't get the point of the cashback offer, why would I buy 2x routers.

    I'm looking for 1 ax88u

    • same here… i'm just after one ax86u or 88u…

Because they can be used in AI Mesh setup. Also because they are fairly old now so ASUS want to clear stock. Wifi 6E ones are coming.

      • Oh good. Hopefully the 88u price drops.
Still more expensive than the 88u I bought in November 2019
