Aussie Server Hosts is proud to start offering hosting for this amazing fun game at the low price of $5 per month. We believe we're the cheapest one out there in Australia. If you can find cheaper, let us know and we'll beat it!

Why so cheap? Well it doesn't cost us much resources to run it, so why should you pay more? (Seriously, this is as easy to run for us as Minecraft)

Who we are:
We're a small group of DevOps Engineers from Sydney and Melbourne who love gaming and decided that we can do game hosting better with more automation. As a result, we aim to provide solid, automated game servers at low prices (from that automation!)

EDIT: Wow! Thanks for the unprecedented support! We've actually run out of our regular nodes and have to spill over to our higher performance nodes. Unfortunately that does mean we have to up the price to $10. Sorry to our new customers!
Existing customers will retain the existing $5 and we may bring back the $5 pricing if capacity frees up in the future!

    Well it doesn't cost us much resources to run it, so why should you pay more?

    Probably isn't hard to do it on a $4 BinaryLane server either.

      Valheim does need 3GB RAM to run and the $4 BinaryLane server only gives you 1GB

          Depending on their hypervisor it could even be dynamically assigned to save them more cost.

            @MasterScythe: I checked other websites, they are charging about $1.50-$2 per slot. x10 that and it's quite expensive.

    Is there a way I can upload my existing world to this solution? Ssh access?

      Yep, there's a control panel where you can upload files.
      Once you're in the panel, go to the File Manager -> .config -> unity3d -> IronGate -> Valheim -> worlds

      Make sure your world name/seed is also the same (you can correct this after the fact in the panel as well if you get it wrong in your initial order)

          One world at a time, you can upload multiple worlds if you want, but can only have one running at a time.

    Hi Just ordered a server and it's setup already, but I'm not finding the ".config" folder to put my world in? Or do I have to make that file structure?

    Nevermind, started the server up, it created the folders, and uploaded my world, all working good now thanks :)

          It shouldn't be too bad if the latency is below 100ms, you can try to ping "ping.aushost.gg" to see what they get

      Hi lolsnarfsnarf, looks like it was a bug with the world name being too long so it failed to create. I've fixed that and sent it back to the creation queue. It should be coming up shortly. If the server itself crashes, you may need to change the world name to something shorter.

      Edit: Yep, definitely crash looping, once you login to the control panel, you'll need to go to the Startup tab and change the World Name to something shorter

          I wouldn't go over 20 characters as a general rule of thumb. A lot of games behave weirdly when you try to push it. Server names too.

    Hi, I uploaded my save file but after starting the server it loops with "container@pterodactyl~ Server marked as offline…" Am I doing something wrong?

    G'day i've just gotten a server and i've uploaded my save file but when loading the server it doesn't seem to be the correct save/map… i'm not sure what i'm doing wrong here.. any help would be appreciated thanks…

      Hi Drexz, make sure your map name is the same as your uploaded save file name. You can change this in the Startup tab

    Aussie server host is a life saver.
    I spent a week trying to get a server working on Zaphost and Gportal is sold out, I just created a server with Aussie Server host and it was up and running in less than 2mins.I even could transfer my Game world easily
    Very happy and would recormend any other aussies looking for a good local host with great support

        I actually prefer your portal, its way simpler, i only need to back up the game world and have the ability to restart/stop it.
        However any issue or help i need you guys message me back in like 5 mins i got no response from zap for 2 days on my first question.

    Just bought a server slot and been waiting about an hour an a half now but still "There are no servers associated with your account." in the dashboard. Also got 2 emails saying the order has shipped. Any idea why it hasn't showed up yet?

      It's not great, but putting them on our nodes that we normally reserve to run things like Squad does cost a lot more. Existing customers that are running on the non higher performance nodes retain the old pricing however.

      That being said, we're running very low on capacity for our higher performance nodes too and may need to stop taking orders very soon.

        OzBargain considers a price rise of >5% or $5 to mean the deal has expired. You are however free to post another deal for the new price of $10/month.
