  • Paid $1165 for it. Very good lens.

  • I've been waiting for a sale as I've just bought a Sony A7 III. Now I'll have to decide which lenses to buy! On my list is this one for travel, the Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 Art or the Sony 24-105mm F4 and 50 and 85mm F1.8 primes. Decisions, decisions.

Brother and I went on a trip and all he brought was his 35mm prime lens and it was just such a good all round performer. Definitely made me want to get a prime lense as opposed ot my zoom.

      but yes decisions, decisions!

      55 f1.8 FE Sony is a beaut

      I grabbed:
      Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 Art
      Sony 85mm F1.8
      Tamron 28-200mm F2.8-5.6

This will be enough to get me going. :)

        Damn son dropping the $$$$
Good on ya for helping the AUS economy

        • I've actually just decided to move from Nikon to Sony, so I've been selling Nikon lenses and this helps fund the new purchases. I've had the Sony body for 3 weeks and can't use it!

It's an expensive exercise doing a clean change over. Once I get these lenses I'll be able to sell my main Nikon lenses and the body too. Job done. 😀

          • @trappy76: I still have all my nikon glass and gear . Can’t believe my d600 will be nearly 10 years old soon. Missed the boat to offload it and now too stubborn to take a huge dive on the reselll.

        You also need a 16-35mm lens (or the Tamron 17-28mm F2.8). :)

        • Absolutely. :) I was thinking the Sigma 14-24mm F2.8 or the Tamron you mentioned. I like to do a fair bit of landscape and astro. I have been using the Tamron 15-30mm F2.8 on my Nikon which I was happy with.
