Edit: Available on backorder at $72.95, which is still a good price.
Tool for cutouts in plasterboards. Has fairly good amazon reviews.
Cheapest it's ever been.

Can't you just use a 'cutting' bit on a drill? Some of these cordless tools are getting a bit ridiculous. They seem to release stuff just for the sake of expanding their range. I was having a laugh with a bunnings worker the other day. He was saying something like 30%+ of the ryobi range is either pointless or redundant.
A drill won't turn fast enough to cut neatly, but yes, you could use a trim router instead. You probably wouldn't buy this if you are just going to poke a few holes on a weekend, but if you are gyprocking an entire house, I'd say it is worth it.
Also, this is not Ryobi specific. Milwaulkee and Dewalt have their own cutout tool which are a lot more expensive.
Did anyone else get one of these? Mine got damaged in transit and returned to Amazon apparently. Got a refund issued as they said they couldn't reorder through amazon us….
Amazon doesn't do replacements - they give you a refund and you have to order again. If there's a special and it expired then unfortunately you are OOL.
OOS?
