    PC components sadly are 0%.
    Again.

    • Same with fitness trackers

      • Yep was hoping for that as well… Fitbit alta gave up the ghost recently…

    • damn, i thought this would fall under 'electronics'.
      oh well

Hate that categories are so vague.
Purchased a Sodastream from Myer assuming it would be under "Home" but found no Cashback tracked. Seems must be under electronics?

    • Yeah and there is no definite way to know what category it falls under. Very hard to rely on cashback.

      • Yup, even now looking at some cable management options under electronics, will that count for 5% or will it get classed as computer or something stupid.
        It's all a guessing game.

      • And the Ts and Cs suggest that Amazon decides on the category.
The cynic in me suspects a dceision is made to reduce the amount of cashback. I'm sure I'm wrong?

I usually open the product on my laptop browser and check under what category it is under to make sure I'll get the cashback

I wouldn't recommend making a purchase decision on Amazon based on the cashback. I get so many rejections it just seems random.

    • If there is an associated $5/$10/whatever bonus payment associated with my purchase, it is paid every time. For every other Amazon purchase, all are denied. Same browser, same procedure every time. Works for every other store. No logical explanation. A waste of time clicking through for normal Amazon purchases.

  • Any clue if a car dashcam is considered as 'Electronics' or 'Car Accessories'?

    • +11

      Yes

      • which one? electronics have a 5% CB… nothing for car accessories

        • +5

          Yes

        • Electronics › Car & Vehicle Electronics › Car Electronics

    • What's its listed on amazon?

  • Computers›Data Storage›External Data Storage›Memory Cards›Micro SD
Which category is that? Is it eligible?

    • Usually takes the top ie. Computers which means it will be 0% :/

  • Smart locks (which fall under Home Improvement) still at 0.00%. Gah!

  • I was planning to purchase a centre speaker.
Would speaker purchase get 5% cash back.

Every time I use a cash rewards link and follow all the steps it never gets auto tracked.

I then contact CR and get a response like this but never actually get cashback. This is a terribly convoluted system.

I'm sorry to see that Dan Murphy's has not automatically tracked this transaction into your Cashrewards account. I have now manually added this transaction and it is displaying as pending.

Based on the documentation that you provided, our team has and submitted an enquiry with the store for your eligibility for cashback. This transaction has been added to your account.

Any transaction that we query with the store can take between 30-90 days to resolve as the store needs to ensure the cooling off period has elapsed, your purchase has not been returned or refunded, and that their analytics attribute the sale to Cashrewards.

Estimated approval time frames do not apply when we are querying a transaction with a store, please disregard the date displaying against your sale.

To help ensure transactions track moving forward, I recommend avoiding coupons, store credits and loyalty discounts as these can result in transactions not tracking or be ineligible for rewards. I also suggest avoiding clicking banners, or other tabs while shopping.

Am I the only one who feels a little chided by these emails?

    • I had these issues when I first started then I realised I had an ad blocker and honey browser extension installed which was causing the issues. Has been tracking well since I removed those.

      • Exactly the same, the desktop version seems more temperamental as everyone has add ons which must clash with the system.
I just use the app now and never have an issue.

cash rewards is way, way worse at paying than shopback in my experience.

      • Err.. it is the other way around.
In more than one occasion, Cashrewards paid out their bonus amount a lot earlier than they originally said they would within their promotion T&Cs.

  • Toys please, my lego list is sitting in the wish list
