Sony should have handled orders slightly better, but the crux of the matter is the low AMD yields which rings true for desktop CPUs and GPUs too. It's improving over time and stock is being released globally though.
PS5 exclusive games are coming out over time too (Destruction AllStars & Control Ultimate Edition today) but don't underestimate the improvements to PS4 titles which are quite significant on PS5 as well as user experience. God of War upgrade was announced today too.
Wouldn't hold your breath for a price drop this year though, doubt demand/supply will stabilise anytime soon.
I managed to get a PS5 from the latest JB HiFi shipment. The only reason why I'm finding it worthwhile is because of the PS4 back catalogue. Having not owning a console since the Xbox 360 I have a lot to catch up on.

Like others I was keen to get an Xbox - I was able to successfully order one yesterday from Target - I suggest setting up an email alert and making sure your emails are pushed (and ozb aren’t excluded) - making sure you don’t miss out. This way you’re not forced to stare at a screen for days on end. Good luck!

I'm sort of keen to get a PS5 got $200 in JB vouchers, but stock issues and seeing Soo many scalpers on market place has turned me off and my PS Pro is still decent enough for me to wait

I don't even understand why someone would waste their time on something like this. It doesn't do anything better than what you suggested. Having individual tabs. When I read the article, I thought it will display a list of websites indicating whether they were in stock.
The person probably enjoyed the building of it having to code and learn a few different languages. The final outcome isn’t useful but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t a worthwhile exercise for the builder.
Was told that most EB and JB stores in Victoria received stock today of the series X. It might be worth visiting your local if you're chasing one
The whole experience of getting a PS5has been frustrating.
I wanted to support Sony at PS5 launch, but I am starting to think it is not worth my time following all the retailers everyday and pay RRP for the more expensive disc version as there is hardly any stock for the digital version.
There is not a single PS5 exclusive game I "need" to play now. It seems if I had a PS5, the most benefit I could get would be those free old games from PS Plus Collections.
I think I will wait til mid year or even end of the year when I don't have to beg for stock from retailers and maybe the price would even come down.
