Seventh Generation Laundry Liquid 1L - $1 @ The Reject Shop

190

Hi All,

Thought I would share this clearance special that I picked up.

Was $1 per bottle at Brisbane CBD and Sunnybank Plaza Store so almost certain that this would be state wide.

Sunnybank store the price ticket was still showing as $4 so take up to the counter and price check.

Heaps of stock available at Sunnybank Plaza store, Brisbane CBD was ~10 left (however was heavily advertised as $1 clearance)

Washes pretty well as I have been using since it came in stock at TRS, so have bought up big since it's almost impossible to find this stuff in normal stores.

Scents Available: Fresh Citrus, Lavender and Fresh & Clean (unscented/sensitive skin)

Mod Note: Confirmed to be available in VIC

  • Are these the ones manufactured in USA?

    • I believe so, used to use them there all the time. They're decent, but there was a big lawsuit against them.

      • but there was a big lawsuit against them.

        What for?

        • Deceptive marketing after claiming their products are "natural".

They lost and had to pay $4.5 out million.

    • Yes they are made in the USA.

  • 8th Gen must be getting released soon

    • Every 30 years

Update on that lawsuit: thousands have died as the active ingredient causes cancer. Any word on stock levels at kepperra? Best use the sensitive skin one as the others peel your skin off pretty easily.

    • People still dare to use?

      Source?

You seem to be making hyperbolic accusations.

The only quick search results about a lawsuit are around misleading marketing word usage.

Update from California: Everything causes cancer.

        Including sun.

Yes. I once had a pile of clothes that I put in the washing machine and at the end of the cycle they were completely gone. 100% effective at cleaning.

    • +1

You just can't leave the launderette while your stuff is still washing. People will nick anything.

  • QLD only or nationwide?
Please also confirm if it's made in USA. thanks.

    • -4

No, cancer can be nationwide not just QLD. Don't know if cancer is made in the USA. Probably more likely Wuhan.

    • +1

      Is made in USA.

Unsure of exact location for specials, I went to 2 stores in Brisbane so I've made an assumption for QLD.

1 store had them ticketed as $1 and scanned at $1.
The next store (Sunnybank) had them ticketed at $4 per bottle, asked the cashier to price check them and they scanned at $1. This store is notoriously bad for updating their price tickets.

  • 97% plant based.

  • chlorhexidine

    • Don't you mean Dimoxinil :)

  • I first purchased this at Costco when it was heavily reduced down to $2.95. Originally $6 I think. It smells great and gives a pretty good wash too. Bargain at this price!

  • Thanks OP

    Certainly deserves 100 plus votes

  • Just went to a VIC store and grabbed a few
but there is a manufacture code GC18277021 37091 at the bottom of the bottle
    https://www.reddit.com/r/Household/comments/gtrete/seventh_g…
it looks like it's made on the 277th day of 2018, probably end of shelf life (2 years), anyone has any idea?

    • I do not reckon that the ingredients would be impact heavily over the time.

  • Why so cheap? Surely they're selling at a loss
