Lenovo 21.5 Inch LCD Monitor C22-25 for $99.99 (RRP $124.99) at Docklands Costco in Vic. Price differs from online last I checked ($104.99)
Not a huge sale but might suit those looking for a deal on a monitor under $100.

Just pay the $20-$30 difference to get IPS or even VA.
TN is so awful at this price range.
Have you looked at this particular one? There is nothing intrinsically bad about TN, but yes, the price is not a good sign.
I had a quick look at reviews, seemed OK. One guy complained it was no good in portrait mode, which is true of all TN, I think.

Bad viewing angles, poor color reproduction and gamut, and poor contrast ratio are pretty bad characteristics to have IMHO.
They used to be better. Then manufactureres moved to IPS and most of the remaining TN were the cheapest and crappiest. It is like steel bicycle frames. There used to be lots of good ones, but not any more.
I believe gamers still use TN for faster response?
If you really want better colour gamut, get a CRT :)

Mmm, I think if you put the best TN monitor next to an average IPS monitor and asked random people (i.e. not pro gamers) which one they preferred, I reckon everyone would pick the IPS monitor for the nicer colors, contrast, and viewing angles.

Well… the bike industry moved on because there were better alternatives like alloys and carbon fibre. Weight, design (making aero-profile steel tubes will be a challenge) and corrosion are inherent issues with steel frames just like how poorer color reproduction and viewing angles are inherent issues with TN.
TN was great for its time, but when put up against more modern technologies, it's not very desirable.

Yup, they're likely the only people who'd actively seek out a (gaming) TN monitor.

Naah, OLED is the way to go. :)
(although the model that replaced that is a dual-layer IPS LCD!)
@eug: True, but missing my point. Did Juiciness test this, or just ranting about TN in general?
Price was the same at Perth last week.
Casual also had stock yesterday.
Interesting that this is a new monitor.
