      Hmm.. was there ever a country named Macedonia in last 30 years? Thought it was Yugoslavia and Macedonia didn’t get any recognition after it got divided into like 10 countries?

        I believe it gained independence in 1991 after the end of the war in that area.
        Though the Greeks were never happy about it using the Macedonia name and they probably still aren't happy even with the new name - Republic of North Macedonia. 😂

    Struggling to understand why things like free eBooks and frequent Borderlands 3 shift codes are suitable deals, while free games from reputable developers (as opposed to shovelware) are moved to the forum….eg. Celeste Classic 2.

    Any mods willing to tackle this question? Genuinely trying to understand what constitutes a deal as upvotes alone don't seem to count for much (yet downvotes are frowned upon).

      Mate, get over it, first of all, why use plural if the only example you have is yours? Secondly, there are plenty of fan made or dev made free games online and Ozbargain’s deal section is obvisouly not a place for it, as one can interpret from the “no freeware deal post” rule.

      Free eBooks are deals because they were once not free. Borderlands codes are deals because they are not always obtainable. Those to many people are a bargain.

      If you ever find a free Celeste promo then surely it would be labeled as a deal.

      Yup. It's not as if authors would dare give away books for free in order to gain recognition and readers. There's heaps of free ebooks out there, so how is it any different to free games, movies, tv shows etc?

    The maps are just pictures, and any small text on the maps is hard to read. Also some spelling errors, look at the map description of the Falkland Islands.

    Absolutely no idea why would I ever look up a country in a book…
    I got a computer or a phone with me 99% of my time. I got a browser open on any device all of the time. Just type the country name and google/bing/wiki will tell you all you need to know. Always up to date. 100x faster than starting up ebook app, finding the book and then finding the country in there to get 3 years old info.
    Possibly if I would end up on a deserted island with no internet and just my ebook reader?
