This includes (but is not limited to) books, music, movies, TV shows, games, software, 3D models, art, events, public viewings, or any type of temporary or permanent access to content that is a genuine bargain when compared with equivalent methods to access this content - but cannot be compared with purchasing a physical copy.

Mahatma Gandhi's autobiography has just entered the public domain and access to this content was previously (and is still) a paid ebook on kindle and other services.

The Story of My Experiments with Truth is the autobiography of Mahatma Gandhi, covering his life from early childhood through to 1921. Starting with his birth and parentage, Gandhi reminisces of his childhood, child marriage, relation with his wife and parents, experiences at the school, his study tour to London, efforts to be like the English gentleman, and experiments in dietetics. Also covered are his going to South Africa, his experiences of colour prejudice, his quest for dharma, social work in Africa, return to India, his slow and steady work for political awakening, and social activities. The autobiography is noted for its lucid, simple and idiomatic language and its transparently honest narration, and has become a key document for interpreting Gandhi’s life and ideas.

    • Gandhi's death was mourned nationwide. Over a million people joined the five-mile-long funeral procession that took over five hours to reach Raj Ghat from Birla house, where Gandhi was assassinated, and another million watched the procession pass by. His body was transported on a weapons carrier, whose chassis was dismantled overnight to allow a high-floor to be installed so that people could catch a glimpse of Gandhi's body. The engine of the vehicle was not used; instead, four drag-ropes held by 50 people each pulled the vehicle. All Indian-owned establishments in London remained closed in mourning as thousands of people from all faiths and denominations and Indians from all over Britain converged at India House in London.

If you really want to know one of the greatest leaders: Ataturk, Che, Lenin, Mao, Robespierre. The GOAT= Ataturk.

        • Ataturk=Goat, the English boot licker, yes that is right.
He was as much of a loser (a goat) as Ghandi IMO.
