  • Sounds like a great deal! Anyone done it for a Toyota Tarago and how much did it cost?

  • Anyone know the best price to tint a ford station-wagon?

  • +2

TintACar quotes vary according to each store and whatever the owner feels like, so keep that in mind.

  • I was quoted $399 which included the $100 off

    • what type of car?

      • hyundai i45

        • -2

          lol, as if.

        • Ode1 - why did you say that you have the same car as I do? Are you a troll?

  • +3

Do you have to tell them that you have the voucher? I'm always cautious with discounts when prices are made up on the spot. Why can they have not fixed prices advertised on their websites for common vehicles?

    • +2

Get them to quote it first then tell them you have the voucher, if they pull some rubbish on you then you know who not to deal with. :)

I got my car done darkest legal at Tint Professor for $260.

    • what type of car?

      • +4

        Hyun i45

    • I got my Toyota Camry from Tint professor, they said it was darkest legal tint but I think it is not dark enough. The quality of work was good and the price was around $260 and they picked my car, tinted and dropped off so it was a great deal for me.

  • I want the $99 deal they've had in the past.

    • The $99 deal was for a pretty crappy purplish tint

  • i got quote from 1 store and called an other store to price match and the second store beat it by another 20bucks.

i got a 370z tinted, 2 doors, and a sun visor for $230 for darkest legal

  • it all depends on the grade of the film they use and what is the warranty like? I hope they dont jack up the prices because of the voucher?

  • Tint a Car's prices are quite high but they can be bargained with quite easily (at least with the store I went to). Best to pick a time when their competitors have a similar product for less as well.

guys, don't buy anything from them

because i called them to do my car's rear wind screen tinting and guy told me this voucher is only for full car not for single window but on voucher they havn't mentioned anything it is just marketing more like scam

beware about this kind of scams

    • +1

and that makes it a scam? lol i think not…

      • I can't see anything about a minimum spend on the voucher.

I need to get one side window done that for replaced after it smashed. $90 for a single window? I think not.

  • I had my 2010 Holden Sportwagon tinted last weekend.
Darkest legal metallic tint (with full UV protection & lifetime warranty)

    $260.

    Looks great.

    • Through these guys or someone else? Also did you need to bargain them down? Cheers

  • I called 2 different stores in WA, they both gave me two different price ($130 difference) for the Octane and they are not aware about this deal.

    • are you saying they won't honour it?

  • called twice. first quoted at 375. then second call on different no. got quoted 345 on a 2011 honda civic sedan so i'm assuming 245 after the voucher… pretty decent i think

    • sorry. refused to take the voucher because the 345 price is already "too low"…

      • Sounds like dodgy practise to me. Negging this one because I hate dodgy non-transparent sales practise like this.
Grateful to OP, but does not sound like Tintacar deserves the free advertising.

  • Called up Browns Plains and the guy Bill was good enough to offer it on his own. I was after midnight but he offered the Octane and stated there is a Nation wide promo running. 395 for a Passat Wagon all windows.

    • How do you know if you are getting the discount?
A month ago he might have said "price is $395"
Now he says "price is $495, but we have a $100 nationwide promo, so it comes down to $395".

Not trying to be paranoid, or anything…

      • I guess best bet would be to have a look at the forums (Volkswagon watercooled etc) and see what other people had the car done for. Its not that difficult I think what do you reckon not trying to be a smart a$$ or anything.

  • I enquired online about their prices for a Honda CRV and was qouted the following;
    - Formula 1 – Sheer Performance – RRP $545.00 (CAN DO FOR $395.00)
    - Octane – Black is Back – RRP $545.00 (CAN DO FOR $395.00)

So i'm going to rock up to two seperate places and see if i can apply the $100 voucher on the octane.
Definitely worth it if i can, will post an update.

    • I got the same email, they were fine with using the $100 off voucher so it comes to $295 for a toyota aurion to get the octane tint.

  • +1

Yeh.. big deal.. I believe tint a care permantly have a $100 off sale anyway.
I got my car done for $299 and was told at the time that it is "usually" $399… but this is a special "sale".
This was in January this year…

As there is no fixed prices I don't see how a voucher like this really has any purpose.. it is just an advertisement..
