If any OzBargainers don't mind black combs the WAHL Cordless Groom Pro Hair Clipper $59 delivered @ Shavershop. The same 60 minutes runtime.

I find the colour coding on the one above quite helpful.

      • Yeah depends what length your hair is. I only use the shortest comb so I went with the Shavershop deal to save myself $10 & the $8 to $13 delivery fee :-)

Should be able to get a further $10 off with email signup

Also have a 45-min runtime colour version for $49.95 before any further discounts (would need a filler for $10 off)

      • We've just purchased this and we're happy with it. I actually put all the ones I won't use in a separate bag and keep the correct size in the bag included. I purchased this https://www.shavershop.com.au/pearl/small-replacement-heads-… so that I got free shipping.

        • Does it come with all the same attachments? Only 45min is the difference?

          • @richmond12: Same attachments from what I can see, they're just all black and the black one is 60 min. What I've done is put all the ones I don't need to use in a sandwich bag and put them separate.

I bought a very similar but more expensive WAHL model/kit during our first lockdown (this may be an updated version?) and haven't visited a barbers since.

Paid for itself after a few months, easy to use and highly recommended.

    • Likewise. I’ve had three diy haircuts since Covid started. Won’t be paying for a haircut again.

Sure it’s probably not perfect, but put some product in and mess it up and hard to tell.

    • Same, I got these Wahl colour pro home (corded) ones for $30 during start of lockdown and do the job nicely. Good quality, cabby imagine needing better for home use. One haircut costs more so pays for itself in no time. Haven't really attempted anything other than a blade 1.

  • Anyone have experience with these? Powerful enough?

I'm after new clippers but am a bit hesitant about batteries - how long they'll last. At the moment I just chuck the clippers into the cupboard when done and don't think about them till next time - I think batteries are gonna need more attention and care.

    • Bought the V7000 off Shaver Shop and has lasted very well with good results for over a year. Also had been recommended by one of my barbers.

    • I've got one with a power cord which I've had for at least 15 years.

Never had a problem with the cord and can recommend.

This also runs off a cord if you want or if the battery runs low when you're using it. It's great using it without a cord, our old one had a cord.

  • For this price definitely no lithium battery and not made in US. Just wait until ShaverShop has US made models on sale:
    https://www.shavershop.com.au/wahl/superior-performance-stai…
    https://www.shavershop.com.au/wahl/li-ion-pack-hair-clipper-…

    • Nah the battery times are different.

Shavershop model = 45 minutes runtime.
Sydney Salon Supplies model = 60 minutes runtime.

      • $20 for 15mins? How long it take for haircut unless we talking too much!

  • Can these be used for beards?

    • HI Richmond12,
It is designed to use on Hair only. You will need to look for a beard trimmer.
      Thanks

  • What the best cord version to buy?

  • Anyone know the bare blade length on these?

  • Hi nshlee,
The bare length is not on the specification, but I have one myself, it could be 0.5mm (not very close to zero) , but you can use it on normal hair (not for bald cut).
    Hope that helps.
    Cheers

    • hi, which one would you recommend for bald cut?

  • Hi StreetHawk,
