I wouldn't buy for a ugliness factor. But if its a bargain, why not.
Plenty of bed time stories for you https://www.google.com/search?q=property+near+power+lines
How's the serenity?

Must have been caused by the power lines.
I swear there was a past a week ago or so about the same thing.
In any case, the EMF works off the inverse square law. So EMF doesn't decrease linearly but exponentially. No issues with this. Wifi and your phone would be more harmful and there's been no issues with those as far as I'm aware (aside from exploding batteries).
Thanks Mate, this is my first property purchase, so bit nervous. This property meets most of my checklists
You'll need a pretty big power brick if you don't have power lines.
Sorry, I didn't understand that.
Those are not high voltage lines so there's not even any fake, extra paranoid worry let alone normal worry
No free fluoro lighting.

I think OP wants to be disconnected and away from the grid.
Agree, however there is a small transformer attached to that pole
Mate if you as a potential buyer are questioning it then imagine your re-sell down the track. Potential
Buyers will disregard the property straight away, regardless of how uninformed they are.
Those are normal powerlines. I thought you were talking about those power towers that have 6 big wires?
Yeah it's not unsafe or anything just really ugly. I wonder if it had that faint hum that some transformers make?
Looks like 3.3KV or maybe 11KV, which are not very high. Probably won't light a fluro!!!!
The ones you need to be wary of are the ones in the following PDF:
https://www.google.com.au/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=we…
don't do it! they contain something called electricity, which can cause all sorts of things to happen to your house, like lights going on/off when you flick a switch, makes your fridge and a/c hum when on etc! don't take the risk!
they are fine. its the big massive high voltage ones you want to avoid
Even then only for the look and resale. There isn't health issues.
Winston Hills?
Yes
How did you guess that ?
Lucky guess really. Did my fair share of house hunting in Winston Hills and note the high proportion of power lines.
Did you end up getting one there
Those transformers can make a humming noise (which not all people can hear).
We had one to the side of our last property and it drove me nuts. Humming / buzzing especially in the evenings, much more noticeable after rain.
Would avoid in the future.
I don't think I would want to look at that everyday.
If those lines weren’t on a pole they’d be in the ground. Only problem I see is that you’d need to trim the grass around the pole and not just mow it. That’s gonna take at least 20s extra each time.
Thank you all for your inputs, unfortunately the property is sold to someone else .. the offer price they offered is much more than mine ..
It's fine. Don't stress.
