          Same , played red dead on on the 1x and had Ps5 since launch still sitting in box. My 21 year old daughter told me I was crazy for not selling. Told her if I sold it I wouldn't have one and would want it.

    I just called the phone number and spoke to national sales. And apparently it was put up as a mistake. If you purchased it, they will contact in the next day.
    I ordered and I’m pissed.

    • I got 2 emails, one for order received and a second a few mins ago saying order being processed

      • Me too, but he said the ps5 and Xbox was a mistake. I’ll call the store it’s being processed from tomorrow

          I’d just wait and see. Calling won’t really achieve anything and it’s not unheard of that people have made an order for something and then followed up with a call which resulted in that order being cancelled as staff on the support line said it was a stuff up, mean while other people’s orders were fulfilled and it turned out the only error was the isolated cancellation made from calling up.

          Unless you need to address something specifically with the order, I’d just let it run its course. If the orders are problematic they’ll be cancelled and refunded either way.

  • BTW rumour is ubisoft plus might be comign to xbox game pass to. that will be huge having EA, ubi and MS own stuff coming out day 1 on pass.

    • I can't see Ubisoft+ coming, much the same as EA Play Pro isn't on there, but a secondary service that would have Ubi's back catalog / game trials like EA would be very nice.

    Great console.
    Love that 2-sec boot up from standby mode. The quick resume feature is getting better and better.
    Going to be a great year for games on PS5 and Xbox/PC this year.
    Medium coming real soon… If it doesn't get delayed again?
    I just bought a $1600 Gaming PC and Series X still seems better IMO?
    After Playing Cyberpunk on Series X and PC.
    Kind of wish I just went all out and got a $5000 gaming PC?
    The SX cant play, Flight Sim right now. That looks amazing! I need to get a flight stick

  • I watched Spiderman MM and AC Valhalla on a PS5.

    Definitely an upgrade to the PS4 Pro in terms of boot time, game load time, etc
    But in Gfx, I didn't notice this "BOOM wow, this is it" experience, seems they both excel in 4K with the PS5 doing a little better
    Some people said you need HDMI 2.1 to fully experience it

    I got a bigger shock when I upgraded from a 2060 to a 3070 in gfx

    • I came from a PS4 Pro, I got that shock when I played Demon Souls on PS5. Massive upgrade to graphical performance 60fps @ 4k such an epic game. There's a definite upgrade in graphical power. Give it some time, you'll see that bump as first party studios begin digging into its capabilities.

    All this talk about how great game pass is etc. I got an Xbox series x, and game pass. I would say it’s not that great. As a casual gamer not knowing when I have time to play, I need to have the games forever, not disappear with new ones come in, so annoyed about untitled goose disappearing. I prob won’t bother with it when the $1 trial is over. If I wanna play any old ass games I’ll buy them for $5-10 in the bargain bin. Each to their own.

    Console is ok though they need to fix kodi running 4k videos. Atmos support is awesome.

  • Retropie and arcade stick is my forever console, I only like the old school arcade games from 80s and 90s
    all the other games takes up too much time and I only want to play 15 min to an hour max and be done :-)

    got xbox one some years ago, played it a few times and it been sitting on the shelves gathering dust

    • Retroarch works on the xbox one and it is much better at emulation…

    Kodi has never worked on consoles with 4k, this is a bug with Kodi.

    Consoles UI looks like it's from 1996 and pixelated.

    Console is fast and stable unlike ps5.

    Controllers have been made cheap and no where near as good as the PS5.

    Less graphical performance on Xbox series X than PS5. Any side by side comparison clearly illustrates this. MS is working out why.

    Upgradable storage on the Xbox than PS5 (where is the expandable SSD SONY?! CE-108255-1)

    You make up your mind which one you prefer.

    TBH -> If you're after one, simply ring around the JB's in your area. I did it and grabbed one the week before Christmas… Seems like anyone on the "priority/pre-order" list were ignored..

      Don't know how others have fared but I've rung around several times and no EB Games or Jb's seem to have any in Sydney at the moment.

      • It's pot luck. Just try everyday.. I rang 3 JB's in Melbourne, went into about 4 different stores randomly and they gave me the same "Join our FB page or newsletter for updates".. That's just crap..

        I rang around, and one of the stores said "Sure, we have about 8 XSX and a few of the series S!"
        Put one aside and grabbed it an hour later…

        I reckon it's nothing more than a hassle being put on a waiting list/pre-order for these stores.. They'd rather just let the next customer grab one of the shelf…

        • Didn't neg you… Just an FYI… I was on the EB 2021 pre-order list with initial ETA of December 2021, order was fulfilled first week of December 2020. It does appear both Sony and Microsoft fulfilled initial waves of pre-orders earlier than expected. That is actually a good news for everyone.

          Seems like anyone on the "priority/pre-order" list were ignored..

          To me, both of my pre-orders (Series X, PS5) were fulfilled at least 1 month ahead of time. And, on the days I collected each console, there were quite a lot of people picking them up. Prefer to give Microsoft, Sony, and the retailers the benefit of doubt and think they managed to get more units shipped than originally planned, rather than retailers (JB, EB) screwed up their pre-orders and sell those units first, rather than fill the pre-orders.

  • I love this new game pass and the fact it works on pc too. Having a gaming pc means i no longer need an xbox to play all the latest console games. Except for PS exclusives.

    • Yeah but it could take months…. Have better luck with EB restocks.

      • Nobody really knows at the moment, it did show warehouse in stock and my local was also showing in stock, so might have got a big drop and allocating out all the units they have.

  • Those that ordered the PS5 got a $100 credit and a refund.
    Nothing about the Xbox yet

  • I just got a call from TGG, they said that my order hasn't been cancelled and is still on preorder but they don't have an ETA yet. Was also told that head office needs to be contacted regarding a $100 credit and it might only be for the ps5 at the moment.

    • I purchased a Samsung q80t and soundbar today. Had i checked my emails earlier i would have held off. Oh well $100 credit it nice.

  • yepp. I just received the same email and im sure i was very quick off the mark ordering the XSX as soon as it was live…
    Im wondering - did anyone get confirmation of an actual XSX order being successful? IE a confirmation email stating their new series X was being shipped, etc?
    It's starting to look like to me like they didnt (and never did) have confirmed stock on the way and it was all a big stuff-up for pre-orders with full payment down (!!) and no actual stock in warehouse / logistic chain yet. What is the point in telling me im on a pre-order list that will take 3 months? Shouldnt everyone in the world be getting more units in the next 3 months? At least JB and EB arent taking another round of pre-orders until the know of actual units arriving to warehouse.
    Store credit make it look more obvious there was some major stuff up. I guess that will pay for some of the time wasted phoning up head office and chasing up a refund over the next week.

    • Yeah my store was honest and told me it was a stuff up. I’ll likely leave the order in place for now and if JB or EB Games get stock or open up orders with an actual ETA then I’ll cancel my good guys order. Will use the $100 credit to grab an extra controller for now lol.
