Hoping for Bunnings to price match with some of the Ozito range. Was after the Ozito Air pressure skin just yesterday but couldn’t find stock anywhere. Ended up getting a different Ozito model corded.
Might get a battery or 2 though, thanks Bunnings I’ll be waiting!

Yeah but $49 for the 4Ah battery is a bit rough - used to be $29.99

      • +2

Rarely was it $30, mostly it was $40 with occasional dips to $30. The increase is a little sad tho.

  • +6

lol the size of the backpack is 3 times the size of the kid.

    • +1

why are kids not using wheeled backpacks already?

      • +1

hassle to get up and down stairs and onto public transport ……. bad enough adults bringing wheeled backpacks onto public transport during peak hours pre covid.

    Who is Pablo?

    • No lo se

    • Possibly Pablo Honey by Radiohead… Man that's a good song

      Vote for Pedro!

    What’s this Facebook group?

    • Yes - also keen to know this?

Wow… Big savings Aldi on the Nando's sauces! They're $3.70 full price at Coles and $3.00 right now.

    • The marinade is $3… sauce is a bit more expensive.

      • Sorry meant the marinade. It's good that the marinade lemon and herb is a bit more like the actual product used at Nando's.

  • Anyone have some comparison between ryobi one+ and this?

    • Ryobi has a 6 yr wty.
can be replaced at bunnings. Aldi only have their stock 1 or 2 times a year so you only get a refund of it breaks down.

  • Can anyone see what is the model of the calculator is offered? Thanks

No Australia Day thongs this year?

    • +1

      Good.
I think it is disrespectful that people would walk on a representation of our flag like that. It is not just the nations flag, but also the flag of the Australian Army.
I don't mind it on a hat or a shoulder patch but towels, underwear and thongs - not quite right.

      • Indeed - It does not make sense to not to respect flag.

  • Hope this backpack actually has a decent day pack compartment area. So many backpacks I have are too narrow like for laptops and papers only, or they have this (IMO) daft non-flat base.

  • That's a big bag for a school kid to carry!!

    • +2

carrying back packs this size at that age is good practice for when they join the gig economy and use this size backpack to deliver food.

government and private sector working together and training kids for the jobs of the future.

  • Have the backpacks come around in the past? Decent quality? “Premium” and $20 don’t really mix but I’m needing a new work backpack and not finding anything that meets my needs in the big brands…this might be good enough for a while

  • How much is the battery for the hedge trimmer? Are Aldi selling those as well?

Btw, if anyone is after a high res version of the catalogue, use the link below:

  • Does anyone have any of the Aldi garden stuff? I'm interested in all of it but it's so cheap I'm worried that it just won't work.

  • Same as above - looking for comments from owners - need a new line trimmer, was looking at this one https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B08CHBCLYJ as I don't need a mower but interested to see how the Aldi one would compare. I would use the wireless mower too as currently only have a wired one, which works fine, just fiddly.

I highly recommend the $199 mower trimmer pack – more so for the mower and batteries included. The trimmer is a joke. I took off the guard so I could get a fraction longer trimmer line when using it but it is piss weak. The mower though is fantastic! Here's a video of it in use on a useless neighbours’ nature strip - the grass was thick and at least a foot tall and it was easy work for the mower to work through. https://youtu.be/qcZ-N_XSoBA

    • Does the mower come with a catcher? And how long would you say a full charge lasts when mowing? My mower just broke so now I'm in need of a great deal ..

      • +1

Catcher included, yes. From my experience, it mows about 300-400 m2 twice before I have to recharge.

        • That's impossible with an 18v mower unless you have very thin well maintained grass.

          • +2

@bashar20: Ha. I grossly over estimated the size of my lawns. Measured the lawns and more accurately, I'm able to mow approx 80 - 100m2 twice before I have to recharge the 2 batteries

      • With catcher.

As the mower has 2 x 20v batteries you should get around 40mins of mowing.

  • The mower doesn't have a muncher attachment does it?

    • muncher

lol. Maybe you meant a mulcher.

I haven't seen a mower with a soft catcher that also comes with a mulcher attachment.

And I don't think there are many electric lawn mowers with mulcher attachment.

My best guess is that this doesn't have one.

  • Anyone know what size battery is included with the mower?

  • 2 x 20v

  • How big are the batteries - 2 or 4 Ah ?

    • Most probably 2 Ah

      • Yeah that's what I thought. I reckon you get 20-30 min max out of it, depending on your grass.

  • Can I buy a 4ah and have a 2ah and a 4ah running on the mower?

    • If power is drawn from both simultaneously. You will kill the smaller battery faster.
If battery is drawn from one after the other then it’s fine.
