Was about to say this looks to be a new all-time low for this SSD, but just found it cheaper at PC Byte for $129 (but it has + shipping or you can pick up at one of their 2 stores in Sydney.)

It's basically Kingston v Sandisk in terms of brand. Sandisk are very reliable. But both good brands and very similar in terms of performance. You get a 3 year warranty with the Blue.
A2000 uses slc cache (approx 150gb/tb) and sn550 uses a bit of your ram (128mb - 2gb) on computers. Sn550 is faster (800-850mb/s) after speeddrop than a2000 (500-550mb/s) when its slc cache runs out. Also some a2000's cell are mixed in use (like using those 1.2v 256gb and 1.3v 256gb in one drive) though this might not affect its performance
Quick search at OzB price histories, and I'm conflicted if this is considered a deal. Deal prices seem to be ~$130-140, with some deals getting >50 votes, other deals few votes.
Upvotes for deals of the same item at similar prices are never consistent. Also just in general, lots of good deals regularly get posted here that attract few upvotes. This SSD on Static Ice - https://www.staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/search.cgi?q=WD%20NVMe%… (Also most if not all of those won't have free shipping.)
Got one, thanks.
It has surcharge when pay by card.
So it is $134.33 for me.Which is better, the SN550 vs the Crucial P2 vs the A2000?
SN-550 is very good for the price, even when the cache runs it it's still quick.
I have one in a PCIE adaptor and it runs way cooler than my Samsung EVO 970 plus and feels similar in everyday use
crucial seems not confident on showing their cell which might have chances to be qlc. According to some reviews on Reddit the 500gb version of P2 was confirmed to be qlc and for the 1tb version there are tlc and qlc. I guess that's part of the reason why crucial doesn't state it clearly. Some Australian retailers like kogan or centrecom once specified them all to be qlc. If you don't mind qlc then p2 at $128/tb is the cheapest one currently. If you don't mind speeddrop or using mixing cells a2000 is the fastest before cache runs out. Sn550 is the safest one among them, don't have much to say about advantages or disadvantages
It's $139 with free delivery on Amazon AU

How does this shape up cf. other M.2s?

The Kingston A2000 is $138 delivered at Centrecom (https://www.centrecom.com.au/kingston-1tb-a2000-sa2000m81000…), and that one seems to be an OzB favourite.
