If anyone is buying this keyboard, get the gateron yellows. Once lubed, they feel and sound amazing

This I think is a good price. I think I got mine at same price, but because it was a deal from China Warehouse, I had to pay the shipping (and had to wait which was annoying).

I enjoy it and I think the keyboard is nice for what it is, but there are few things I did find.

If you are getting this, the stabilisers that come with the keyboard are horrid. They I think functioned fine (I changed it as soon as I got mine because I could), it's just that they make a lot of noise (like rattle-y noise).

The keyboard is flat. The keycaps are not flat, but the keyboard itself sits flat, which took bit of time for me to get used to.

I think all in all, don't expect something that you'd expect from say more expensive keyboards, and you'd be fine, I reckon.

Eh, I love mine though. Just wanted to give a heads up if anyone is considering.

Just got this video recommended, it is the same keyboard, says it is prEtty good better than keyboard costing 3x as much.

Also just recommended this video which shows all the colour modes in detail: https://youtu.be/oTCCVSs7ib8

Also OP, maybe make title “Gamakay K87 87 Keys RGB Hot-swap Mechanical Gaming Keyboard”

Hot-swap is important to some customers (means you can change switches by pulling them out).

    • Thanks for the suggestion, I'll do that

  • how do you use the $20 new user coupon? Can it be used to offset the keyboard price?

    • +1

If it is like AliExpress, it is a bunch of small coupon totalling $20.
But very hard to use, some are just $3 off $20 / $5 off $50 etc, and some work on only certain selected products, some work only with $300+ spend. And you can only use 1 coupon at a time.

They're a bunch of small coupons ($5, $3, $12). $12 only works for clothing category.
