$5 Bonus Promo Terms:

  • To be eligible for the AUD $5 bonus, you must first activate the promotion via the main link in this post, then shop as normal via any* online store on Cashrewards.
  • Transaction must be made between 10:00AM AEDT 21/12/20 and 11:59PM AEDT 21/12/20.
  • Bonus is eligible when making a qualifying purchase of AUD $5 or more in a single transaction (inclusive of GST, after any discounts, and before shipping).
  • Bonus will not be added to your Cashrewards account at time of purchase. It will be credited separately as approved by 06/02/21.
  • Bonus is over and above the advertised store cashback rates which still apply to the transaction.
  • Transaction is valid if made online via desktop browser, Cashrewards mobile app, Cashrewards Notifier, or mobile browser.
  • Bonus is ineligible for any in-store purchases.
  • Sales may report to Cashrewards ex-GST so the amount shown in your account may be less than $5. You will still be eligible for the bonus.
  • Selected stores may report orders with multiple items as separate transactions into your Cashrewards account. These are still eligible.
  • Bonus is limited to one per Cashrewards account. Additional transactions do not qualify for additional bonuses.
  • Bonus is ineligible if you purchase from a 0% cashback store/cashback rate, if you purchase an ineligible item, or if an order is cancelled, changed, returned, rejected. *Individual store cashback terms and exclusions apply (see Amazon & AliExpress especially).
  • Fraudulent activity will result in rewards being forfeited and accounts closed.

Ensure you disable 3rd party plugins and don't click away to other sites looking for codes etc after clicking from Cashrewards as tracking will be lost (feel free to try our recently updated mobile app).

Two common questions:

  1. Will I be eligible for the bonus if I purchase anything from an Amazon category at 0% cashback? - NO (all standard store T&Cs apply)
  2. Can I use Amazon gift cards for purchase and still be eligible? - YES.

Note also that AliExpress now pays cashback on affiliate products only - see updated terms and link checker here.

Don't forget to refer-a-friend for $20 (they get $10) - tip: add your code to OzB’s randomiser.

    Awesome. Thanks OZB Santa ;-)

    • Nice one. If I can't find anything around $5 worth buying from other stores, I will try Chemist Warehouse. You can always find some items you could use it later which is just around $5. And if you local store has it, you can do a click and collect, fee free with no minimum spending required.

Nice one! Added to Bonus Cashback Master Thread for tracking purposes :)

    Merry Christmas TA!

    • +1

      Nice one TQ!

    • +2

Thanks Yowie, This is good.. Merry Christmas

  • With coupon code OK?

But doesn't matter bought electronic stuff yesterday from Amazon but 0% anyway.

  • +1

Thanks TA - looks like no ebay is that correct?

    • +2

yeah looks like no ebay as there is no ebay link from cashreward site =/

      • +3

Oh just realize eBay disappeared from CR.

      • +1

eBay is still on the alphabetical list but clicking it says it's removed

    • +5

      So Aliexpress it is :-)

Edit: just noticed that Aliexpress has new rules for cashback. 'Affliliate products only', if you have the same thought as I, make sure to check your product qualifies.

      • +6

It seems the rules changed yesterday. Making Aliexpress less attractive.

      • +1

So done the Ali Express affiliate checker…took a few products, but found one that says Lucky you, affiliated or something like that..came in at $4.76 AUD…

If I buy 2 + activated the offer first + made sure nothing was in my cart prior + swung an albino unicorn around my head 3 times counter clockwise…. I 'should' be all good for the cashback?

      • Thanks. Almost bought without realising this. Got my item through Banggood instead.

If only there was a way to filter search results by affiliate status :(

    • +7

Maybe get eBay GC from CR portal

Then use GC via SB for cashback?

      • double cashback!

      • Thanks

    • But one could buy an ebay gift card for $5 from the gift card section?

  • +1

Thanks TA, but recently I got a lot of problems with Cashrewards's promotions and tracking, my new user bonus also disappeared.
And can't find a way to contact them:(

I'm not here long, could anyone please tell me how to contact Cashrewards team? Thanks a lot!

    • +1
      • Thanks mate!

        • TA sorted everything out! Thank you so much TA!

    • Me too, it's way to complicated. I've given up.

  • +1

    Hi TA,
Just wanted to double check, so this Bonus Cashback is eligible if we buy the eBay gift card from CashRewards Gift Card Portal?

    • +14

      Minimum $30.

Better buy the Choice card to swap to other cards later. It includes eBay anyway.

      • +4

Given Choice has 5% cashback, why wouldn't anyone pick that instead? Am I missing something obvious vs the 1% on eBay GC?

  • +1

    Thanks TA !!!

I'm getting a gift card for the post Xmas sales.

  • +1

So, for clarification, if I buy a $5 eBay gift card via Cashrewards' Gift Card Portal, it'll be eligible to the $5 bonus (i.e. free $5 gift card?)

    • +5

Minimum $30 on that gift card

      • Ah, thanks.

  • Aww, just after I bought something last week after waiting a few weeks.

  • +5

    Do they have any 5 or 10 $ GC's?

  • +2

Time to buy a guilt free Christmas present for myself! Thanks TA

  • +4

Just don’t use on ebay… all of ebay is 0% cashback and has been for at least afew days that i have noticed.

Is the 0% on ebay permanent?

    • +6

Has been since Black Friday, when they did some special deals with Shopback. They seem to have become a Shopback exclusive, which just means that ebay is missing out on sales from those of us boycotting Shopback.

      • I missed the news, why are people boycotting Shopback?

        • I think it is something along the lines of that they leaked everyone's data and then pretended like nothing happened and then potentially pushed out positive reviews and ignored their users

  • +14

Recommended: $30 choice gift card, get $1.50 cashback + bonus & work out what you want to convert it to later when you need it.

    • How do you convert a gift card?

      • it gives you the option when you click on it

    • +1

Did they charge you 50c extra for sms?

      • +5

No. Don't provide your mobile number and you won't get charged.

    • Yeah you says it all. I feel there should be a pinned reply so that others dont waste their time in other options.

    • Can it be converted to anything useful, or just the retailers listed in the picture of the card?

    • +1

When does the choice gift card expire? How long can I keep it for before converting it?

  • +3

Very hesitant to purchase since my last Groupon purchase wasn't tracked and that was worth like $27.8
So no cashrewards for me until they sort the last matter out for me

    • Sure it wasn't tracked, but what do you stand to lose by using cashrewards in the meantime till the sort out your Groupon issue?

      • +4

Well when i had issues with Groupon tracking with shopback i did stop using them for a while because usually Groupon cashback is a big amount (like 20 % or higher). And if the platform doesn't work on big purchases i dont really trust them to work on small purchases.

Sure shopback was helpful after declining my cashback request and then approving the cashback by adding another cashback.

I expect similar for cashrewards, having to make claim and claim gets approved finally but until it doesn't I'll avoid cashrewards.

        • -1

Here, here it's a very convoluted system that puts all responsibility on the consumer while CR reaps the rewards.

  • Target is not on the list as well.

    • Edit :- It's included. Thanks to @tightarse. :)

      • Where?
        I couldn't find it

  • +7

Please read the terms below carefully as it will save a lot of questions.

I bet a lot of people didn't even read that line.

  • Gift card portal redirects don't work for me chrome/desktop, generating a "has been blocked by CORS policy: No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource"

    • +2

I use edge for cashbacks, avoids the ad blockers i have set up on my other browsers

      • Always good to have a “clean” browser for cashback purposes that has no ad-blockers and allows cookies and tracking.

  • +1

Groupon tracking has been hit and miss for the past 4 months for me, l don't purchase from them any more for that reason.

  • Can pay with amazon giftcard to get the cashback? Thanks

    • +2

Purchases paid with gift cards are eligible for cashback (not Amazon credit).

      • Thanks, what i wasn't sure is i have $100 credit/certificate from claiming amazon gc. Surely, that would be ok? Thanks

        • Yes

    • As long as it’s not a 0% category

  • -2

can i buy WWS giftcard and get $5?

    • +3

Yes, only if you can find the entry portal.

  • Cool.

  • +1

    Great!!! Thanks again TA!!

  • activated the bonus, shopped at Amazon pantry got 5kg of rice. nothing has shown on my cashrewards account. hopefully the transaction will go through.

    • [nevermind, I was wrong]

  • +1

    I went 2 X 470g Bega Smooth Peanut Butter S&S $7.20

    https://www.amazon.com.au/Bega-Smooth-Peanut-Butter-Kilogram…

    • +8

FYI, Cashback is ineligible on purchase of subscribe & save items

      • Well it perfect to do it without S&S and ill add : Bega Crunchy Peanut Butter, 780g at $6.50 https://www.amazon.com.au/Bega-Smooth-Roast-Peanut-Butter/dp…

I actually briefly went over t@c 's and couldn't find it before my first purchase .

        I'll be firing again : (

        • -3

          Pantry items is 0% anywyas.

          • @ATangk: Incorrect .

            • @popsiee: O I didn’t realise there was a CB increase currently. Was thinking of skipping this one.

  • +6

Got a $30 Choice card and $1.50 already tracked!

    Ta TA!

    • I got one yesterday with the $10 deal and it tracked nearly immediately.

  • +14

Most of the offers posted by sb n cb looks like click baits. You get excited by these cashbacks and purchase something u don't need. Eventually u don't receive these cashback n loose track of all these offers/cashback.
Should keep track of all these offers/purchases you make offline and claim with sb/cb if its not tracked/promotional $ not credited.

    • +4

thats true, i always get caught out by amazon with 0% cashback. I thought about it though, there is no positive incentive for these companies to bait and switch as i don't think they get much out of it. Other than loyal customers long term. Checked my cashrewards, and i have alot of life time cash back amount!

alot of people going to get caught out on ebay 0% and amazon 0% categories

    • +3

I see the bonus cashback offers as an additional incentive for their users. Cashrewards and Shopback are not obligated to provide them and participation is entirely optional.

However if you do take up the offer, then make no mistake the onus is on you to keep track of it. Hence the thread I created here and it's obvious the majority of users are completely satisfied with the opportunities to earn bonus cashback.

  • they used to give $5 for $5 but no giftcards or ebay :(

  • How do I know what's ineligible? I want to buy a book old by Amazon Au.

  • Does anyone know if the seller coupon on Amazon makes cashback ineligible?

  • +1

Anyone got a link to the full list of gift cards the choice gift card can be converted into? Did a quick Google search and couldn't find anything on that.

    • +4

      https://www.cashrewards.com.au/choice-gift-card

  • Bega Crunchy Light Peanut Butter, 470g @ $2.40 each .

Buy 3 and Bobs your Uncle while it lasts :)

    https://www.amazon.com.au/Bega-Crunchy-Light-Peanut-Butter/d…

    • I was actually thinking of doing this? Did it track for you?

  • +3

blimey, aliexpress being limited to affiliate items really kills 90% of the value of these cashback sites for me.

    • How so? Did you check the products you're after? Found many that were not affiliate? All the stuff I wanted still qualified for cashback…
