You need an iPhone if it is running the old firmware which is non Tuya based. I tried Android phones, tablets and an iPad but they wouldn't connect it. You also need the old Lenovo app I think.

Bought two. No issues with 2.4 and a Telstra default modem wifi.
Problem arises with old stock on old firmware which is not running via Tuya. Only have Android phones, Android tablets, iPads at home but needed to use my mum's old iPhone to set it up as none of my other devices could. Once the firmware was updated it worked fine via Tuya Smart Life.
What are the best type of these bulbs?
Horrible to set up. Be prepared to try multiple times using multiple devices
