M.2 and SATA are completely different physical interfaces.
There are M.2 form factor SSDs that use SATA protocol (which makes them perform as well as SATA will allow, so no point). I think you probably don't mean this?
Yeah, I understand that, I meant can I use an M.2 form factor SATA protocol SSD in the enclosure. I have some hanging around is like to be able to use as externals, but also be able to use the same enclosure with nvme drives to save clutter/cost.
Simplecom makes one which is around $50 on Amazon.
Listing says
M Key/B+M Key
Can't remember which one a SATA M.2 uses…
It also doesn't explicitly confirm or deny SATA drives, unlike other listings which have confirmed their compatibility
It's an NVMe enclosure, not SATA, so no.
Doesn't show up at those prices. Expired?
Yeah not seeing those prices either.
Hmm, looks like discount is applied at checkout.

The laptop cooling pad is not showing the discounted price at checkout.
Edit: all good now. I probably did something wrong.Just picked up the SSD enclosure and can confirm the discount is applied at checkout.
Damn, that's cheap for the enclosure, paid over $50 a few weeks ago.
Seems to have expired
Can I use a SATA SSD in the M.2 enclosure?
