I have been using Havit gear for a few years and found their products to be solid & reliable and their after sales support team to be excellent.
I have both of their low profile mech KB's (exceptional), a webcam (good value at $40), and a gaming mouse (very good). I needed the support when the webcam went missing enroute to me. They responded within 24 hours and dispatched a new one without hesitation. The original product never arrived. They stayed in touch throughout the process.
I notice that they are selling this particular combo for $62USD (ex tax) on their website and so this would seem to be good value at $57AUD delivered.
I hope that this helps someone.

    • Great write up. Thanks for your insight.

    • Please can you please share the low-profile model name.

      • Sure thing. There is the 104 key (https://www.prohavit.com/products/hv-kb395l-low-profile-mech…) and the 87 key (https://www.prohavit.com/products/hv-kb390l-low-profile-mech…).
The larger one is for my office setup whereas the smaller one is in my travel bag. They have been used heavily, travelled extensively and they just keep going. They are not in the same industrial league as Ducky, Das, or Varmillo but I like them.
If you are like me then you will be surprised at how big a difference the low keyboard profile makes in terms of wrist pain and fatigue. Be aware that they are a little "clicky" - i.e. not silent. It doesn't bother me but I have had friends say that they couldn't use one.

        • Thanks very much for the links.

Yes actually I used a family members computer recently which had just a basic low-profile keyboard (came with acer desktop PC), impressions were wow.
          So low-profile is really appealing.

Be aware that they are a little "clicky" - i.e. not silent.

104 key model says Kailh blue clicky low-profile switch only, but 87 key model says Kailh blue clicky & red linear low-profile switch.
Red Linear should be quieter than clicky blue.
I guess if you are talking about true “silent” switches Kailh only makes full size silents (Kailh Silent Brown / Silent Pink).

          • @thebadmachine: Also found this in a review
It may be important to some: “Though the Havit uses Kailh low profile switches, they are unique to this board, so any keycaps you buy to fit Kailh low-profile switches will NOT fit this board; it is 100% unique. This is cool, but at the same time Havit does not offer ANY other cool keycaps to buy.

  • What sort of switch these have? Can't find enough info…

      Mine has outemu blue

It says “blue switch” in one of the diagrams

  • I have two of these keyboard/mouse bundles. One at home and one at work. The mouse isn't the best for gaming, but i'm not the best at gaming.

I replaced the mouse at home with a razer deathadder v2. The havit mouse it nice though, I still use it at work.

It's awesome punching blue keys in a quiet office btw…

    • but i'm not the best at gaming

That’s because you have the mouse to blame. You’ll be better at gaming if you change to a better mouse :)

      • But I bought a better mouse and it didn't help. What should I try next? (Besides practice of course)

The mechanical keyboard looks like the K-Mart one: https://www.kmart.com.au/product/mechanical-backlit-gaming-k…

    • it really looks the same..

      • Must be out of same factory. I didn't even know Kmart some that type of keyboard. I saw the other day a RGB bundle at Big W with keyboard, mouse, pad and head phones for $59. Didn't look like mechanical though.

  • I wonder if this is as good or better than my Motospeed ck888 mechanical keyboard and mouse set that i bought few years back from this zapals website that no longer exists lol

  • Should I havit ?

    • Have confidence in yourself.

  • Can you use the mouse without using the keyboard?

    • Yes, but why?

I have both this keyboard and the low profile Havit keyboard.

This keyboard doesn't come with the best keycaps, really cheap feeling and hard to see in the morning (first thing I've changed). The springs on the blue switches have a bit of a springy metallic sounds that some people don't like. And finally if you decide to hammer this keyboard, get used to the bottoming out noises like there is no tomorrow, even with o-rings on. In saying all of that, this is still a mechanical keyboard that will crap over any membrane keyboard any day of the week.

The low profile keyboard on the other hand, is heavenly to type on and far better than this one. The RGB is not the fastest, but you will quickly forget about it. It's just hard to get these days after it disappeared from Amazon.
